Indian River RV Park, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We called rather last minute and the owner was very helpful and accommodating, We weren't sure how many days we were spending and actually stayed a week. She was nice enough to give us the weekly rate which was $200.

There is water and electric service 20/30/50 at each site and the whole park is well landscaped and convenient to I-95. It is not a large park, but if you're lucky you could get a spot overlooking the Indian River.

We loved the proximity to the beaches across the river and will definitely return when there's a launch as its right across from Kennedy Space Center. Check the NASA site and you might be lucky enough to be there during a launch. We camped at Indian River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We took advantage of the free fishing at the city marina across the road. We also drove over the bridge to the Merritt Island National Park. There is a Park exhibit center. We also drove about 6 miles to the Playalinda Beach area. Large beach with many options including boat launching and surfing.

There's a discount grocery store within walking distance and several restaurants and bars. Especially like the brewery in town.

Lake George Escape Campground, Diamond Point, New York

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Did a quick mid week stay and they had plenty available. We caught the tail end of the fall foliage. Its a large camp ground and it was easy to ask for and receive a more secluded spot. We like privacy and could tell, by driving around, that they have many sites that afford that request. There are cabins but we didn't get to see one. There is a general store and several activity centers. We were only a couple, but could see where a family would enjoy staying here, not only for the attractions in the area, but the arcade and nature areas in the park to walk. We camped at Lake George Escape Campground in a Travel Trailer.
