Town Creek Campground COE, West Point, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful COE park 11 miles from US 45A. We will use this park again on our northern migration home. We have recommended this park to our northern migrating friends.

We were on site 77 which is the front part of a pullthru buddy site with 78.

The shower house was clean with an inside laundry (a washer & dryer).

Most campsites were large (long enough for big rigs) with 30/50 amp service & water hookups. Sites 40-45 also were sewer/water/electric. There also are a few pullthru sites. There are 100 campsites but we didn't walk thru the whole campground. The hookup on our site worked as expected. We had a great view of the waterway. We camped at Town Creek Campground COE in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We spent one night at the park while traveling through the area. We would love to spend more than one night the next time through to try some of the local restaurants and attractions.

There is tugboat & barge traffic on the river, however, it didn't bother us in the night. There is also a lot of airplane traffic as the campground is very close to an Air Force Base in Columbus.

The road to the park is a nice asphalt 2 lane road. Once you arrive in the park the road gets a little rough.

Hinton RV Park, Sikeston, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here on our way home from spending the winter in Alabama and Florida. The pull thru sites are long & gravel. We didn't unhook since we were staying for one night. We would stay here again. We camped at Hinton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There is shuttle service to and from Lambert's, a local restaurant that is home to the "throwed rolls". A must if you are in Sikeston.
