We actually stayed for 2 weeks end of August, beginning of Sept 2015. Large, paved sires with wifi and cable. Setup so you aren't staring into someone else's rv. Lots of elbow room, paved streets with streetlights. Hosts were great. Clean well kept campground. If you want laid back and relaxed this is the place. Plan to stay there again. We camped at Cedar Key RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
No big box stores but there are places to buy necessities. So much to do in the area. Short drive to Manatee Springs and Indian Mounds. Had fun fishing and watching dolphins. State lands for hiking and fishing and of course Cedar Key itself. Bought clams from locals for $20/100. Tonys Seafood for the best clam chowder. Any of the restaurants and the little pizza shop had excellent pizza. Get your bait at the store in front of the resort. Enjoy the slow pace of the area. Fishing charters available in town, also tour boat, which was interesting.
