Moose River Campground, St Johnsbury, Vermont

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Truly a riverside delight! Sites were mainly level,?sloping a bit towRds the creek. Gravel surface was firm and secure. We had a 30-amp site with steady power and good water. Sewer is a holding tank on each site. Well-kept grounds, a fun office (owner bakes brownies!) sparkling clean laundry room and your pups are welcome everywhere!! A bit of road noise but mostly masked by the creek. They have purchased land to build a dog park, so it's coming. We will definitely return! We camped at Moose River Campground in a Motorhome.

Two Rivers Campground, Skowhegan, Maine

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

A quick overnight left us wishing we had planned more time here. Lovely well-lined out campground on a small peninsula. It is located at the confluence of two rivers, hence the name. It is mainly level, well kept and has a friendly owner and a fair number of seasonal that are friendly as well. Satellite service was not so good due to the many trees, but there was cable available. Water and electricity was good. We would definitely return. We camped at Two Rivers Campground in a Motorhome.

Westover Famcamp, Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Water and electric only, no sewer, but convenient dump station as you leave. Make sure you use the Westover blvd gate.... the main gate will turn you away. Follow directions from Westover gate and you will find it with no problems. Oddly sandwiched between some sort of beverage distribution warehouse, members' club and rec rental. Sites are level and back in. Not a highly-cared for camp, much overgrown grass and weeds. Firepits not emptied. Picnic tables are hit or miss. Office staff was kind and efficient. A safe, level, affordable place to stay. We camped at Westover Famcamp in a Motorhome.

MacLeod's Beach Campground, Dunvegan, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed on the newer sites high on the hillside. No grass has grown yet, just a bit of clover. VERY muddy when it rains. Extremely narrow loose gravel pads. Windy like you can't believe. Many of our group had to pull their slides in due to the wind to keep from ruining their slide toppers. Sites are not level - you will need blocks and wood. Small gathering spot down at the office with indoor pool table and two picnic tables. Just not a wonderful place. Wonderful view, but not a nice place to stay. We camped at MacLeod's Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Cavendish KOA, Cavendish, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very family-oriented campground! They have activities, playgrounds, trampolines.... very good for families. There was quite a bit of damage from Hurricane Dorian. Many trees were uprooted, fascia missing off buildings, things like that. The only complaint we had was that the road had washed out in front of our pull-through, and we would have had to negotiate about a 14" drop off to exit. Lovely pavilion there, with a nice fenced dog park. $20 key card deposit was silly..... give me a code. We camped at Cavendish KOA in a Motorhome.

Very level sites, some shaded. No dog park, but many other amenities. Laundry facility was very very clean. interior roads were easy to navigate. Close to casino for gambling afficianados. Keenes Lake Family Campground, Calais, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We had a large group here, they went the extra mile to group us all together. Leveling was difficult, many could not level without wheels in the air. Bathrooms were cleanish, hot water was plentiful and flowed well. Hurricane Dorian left a LOT of water and downed branches. Major drawback to this campground is signage to enter, the named sign is about 100' off the road, hidden in shaded area, and the font is VERY difficult to read. Members of our group missed the entrance and had great problems turning around to come back. Older man who took our reservation failed to write it down, so we arrived at their mercy. We camped at Keenes Lake Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest KOA we have visited. Sites are nicely graveled and mostly level. Water pressure was good. Electricity steady. Road traffic behind our site slowed dramatically after 10 pm. Good spacing between sites. Pizza delivery to the office or pavilion by the pool. Giant boulders mark the ends of sites and roadways. Pool was squeaky clean and just he right temperature for a refreshing dip. Lovely pool area. Definitely put this one on our "return to " list! Only downfall was a HUGE bump when exiting the campground. Teeth-jarring for sure. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Motorhome.

Shenandoah Valley Campground, Mount Jackson, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Really close to the highway, and I think we got the flattest most level site (B3) in the park. A few pull throughs, but overall, you're in a mountainous area, expect sloping sites and plan accordingly. Small trees are growing, but there is no shade. There is a lovely small dog park, again, about 50' from a busy interstate highway I-81. If traffic noise bothers you, request a site away from the highway side. There is a beautiful small vegetable garden, with sunflowers growing. Gravel smooth interior roads, water pressure is good, but electricity has fluctuated. Our Auto-former has adjusted it for our coach, but other people have had difficulties with low voltage triggering shutdowns in their systems. Customer service here is wonderful, though, there is a small pool, a snack bar with reasonably-priced offerings, and a small camp store. Lovely location in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley - a fun jumping off point to explore. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

The Glades RV Resort, Moore Haven, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2018 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Access from road is rough, construction caused huge issues with grade and turning. Not their fault. Access road to campground has no signage once you leave the highway. Branches scraped the top of our coach in three places. Not their fault, as a county road, we were told. Packet of papers provided on checkin referred to restaurant with dinner menu included. No dinner is served at this restaurant. Details were also provided on sorting trash for recycling, and map with dumpsters was noted. No dumpsters exist. Office staff said they were all removed due to "illegal dumping". There is some schedule for picking up trash at your site. Small dog park was nice with benches and a shade tree. No grass, but nice enough. Driving range was reasonably priced, and golf pro was congenial. All sites are level, back in with easy hookups. No picnic table, nothing. Grassy with small concrete pad set too far back to use. Park is 95% snowbirds that have zero interest in the annoying transients. We camped at The Glades RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Clean, safe, incredibly well-located. The ONLY campground (along with Trumbo) ON Key West..... the rest are on keys further north up the road. October Bend RV Park, Lake City, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Over two miles on a washboard bumpy dirt road. We had to creep to keep from shaking the coach apart. Low trees enroute. Grass is overgrown. No direction to where to find registration etc. Small red building with passport america sticker on right as you enter is NOT registration area. It is on bath house at end of park. Mainly long term, poorly kept rigs there. Quite unkempt and not inviting. Many blue tarps. Too close to interstate to sleep. Access road is wicked. Creepy feeling so we left. We camped at October Bend RV Park in a Motorhome.

Grand Falls Casino, Larchwood, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

14 pull through gravel surface facing the driving range. Lower numbered sites less likely to encounter wayward golf balls. Parking in the casino parking lot boondocking is free. FHU sites are $20 weekdays, $40 weekends. All casino amenities are available to campers, just ask for pool pass at front desk. Casino is only moderately smokey, buffet was a fair value. Shopping is in nearby Sioux Falls, SD and is an easy drive. VERY quiet at night, plenty of dog-walking space. Best kept secret? Their lovely spa has day passes available for $15..... take your facial mask, hair treatment, lounge in the pool and spa tubs, take advantage of the sauna and steam room, then a long, hot shower. Lunch can be served by the pool. We camped at Grand Falls Casino in a Motorhome.

Texas T Campground, Cornersville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely park, spacious sites, each set of hookups have a light above it, and a bush to camouflage from your neighbors. Gravel interior roads were easy to navigate. Checkin was an easy process as long as you had a reservation ahead of time. Good satellite reception, good water pressure and reliable electricity. Didn't use, but I understand they have a washer and dryer available to use. There was a public room set up for crafting.... tables, ironing board, books, TV, very comfortable.
