Riverside RV Park, Brownwood, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is along the Pecan Bayou just north of Hwy 337 - but cannot hear the road sounds. Level sites - all paved - all hook up features available and a pretty good wifi signal - the bathrooms were clean and fully enclosed. Looked like some long-time residents were there but everything was neat and tidy. A big city park just across the lane - we actually saw deer in the early evenings over there. There was also a nice deck near the river - good for viewing or visiting. All in all I would recommend this park. Good stopover or a good destination location for a few days. We enjoyed Brownwood very much and will go back to this park as well. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA, Durant, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Would have given the park a "10" rating Except for the mosquitoes!!! they have a drainage pond in the back of the park and it appears that it must just be a breeding ground for the little buggers - I looked down after walking the fur babies and had at least 10 on my legs. My hubby doesn't ever get bothered by them and he is swatting all the time - they could be doing some ""fogging"" work to abate these pests but we have not seen anything like that in three days of staying here. With these prices a little bug fogging would not break the bank - either that or put a fountain in the holding pond to keep the water moving. Also - the shuttles to the casino are a nice touch but the steps up are at least 8 to 9 inches high - hard for us senior citizens who have had recent surgeries - just sayin. We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Monkey Island RV Resort, Afton, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park - fairly new! They have a great dog park - I think it's the only RV park in the area with a dog park. They have a nice clubhouse and pool and the showers and laundry are spotless! The sites are easy to navigate and everything seems to work well. The wifi is a little weak but we didn't use it much during the trip. The people are awesome!! Helpful and responsive - they make your visit even more special. Good value and we will come back! We camped at Monkey Island RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Plenty to do in Grove area - little shops and historic sites and the lake. The Grand Cherokee Casino has excellent food at a fair price - we ate there a handful of times - good food!! and service!!

Oakdale Park, Glen Rose, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park but it is AWESOME!! The folks are helpful - going above and beyond - and there is shade and picnic tables and a doggy park and a huge pool and more!! Lots to do in this little town - we enjoyed the Big Cup Diner and the pies from the Pie Peddler are the best I have ever eaten and I'm an old gal - lol. Not too many folks there when we camped but I think they were "in between" events. The music events are very nice and well attended - make reservations early!! We will go back again and again. We camped at Oakdale Park in a Travel Trailer.

American RV Park & Sales, Corsicana, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is satisfactory.........barely. Sites are just a parking lot - nothing special. Clubhouse has serious problems. There are holes in the floor - no kidding!! You could get hurt! Bad hurt! Lots of road noise ALL night long. I guess it might be good for just an overnight stop. Not much else. We camped at American RV Park & Sales in a Travel Trailer.

Belton RV Park, Belton, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

It's very difficult to make reservations when they won't answer phones and expect you to make them on-line - and then they want to respond on-line and when you are travelling, this can be difficult/impossible!! Just pick up the dang phone!! Also - no one tells you that they (the office) are closed from 12:30 to 2 pm every day and close up at 5 pm - makes it a little difficult to plan to arrive at a specific time. Pretty good wifi - lots of full-time residents - there is a pool but no doggy park - sites are close - manageable - but barely - no shade - just a big parking lot behind the RV sales center. Might be good if you need to stop overnight - would not want to stay more than that. We camped at Belton RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

River Shade RV Park, Seguin, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

excellent older park - quiet - and will be very shady in the late spring and summer - good view of the river from the first two rows of camp sites - some full time residents with lots of stuff around - no dog park which is a bummer - and hubby used the showers and said they were not as clean as he might have liked - not sure how often they are cleaned. We would go back here - just for the quiet and views of the river. We camped at River Shade RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wichita Falls RV Park, Wichita Falls, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Charming little park in the middle of town. What a surprise - a nice lake next to the park and very near the Wichita River - huge trees everywhere. Would imagine that nearly every site has shade. The longest pull thru sites we have ever seen and fairly level. Nice wifi and good cable connection. Very little drop or interference. Nice clean bath house too. What a little jewel of a park. Unfortunately we are just staying one night on the way home but would love to come back and stay longer. The office staff was very welcoming and helpful - suggested some food delivery spots that we could call. There is a club house area for rallies and a nice pet walking area - they will have a fenced in doggy park sometime next year. We WILL come back! We camped at Wichita Falls RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

this is NOT a resort - I've been in a lot of RV resorts and this is a huge gravel and paved parking lot with a few small trees - basically not much shade to speak of - utilities are well places and sites are a good size for both the RV and the truck - there is a pool and hot tub - and a small supply area with a few basic supplies - no security guard or fence - apparently no worries about trouble. Kind of west of town a few miles but a distance off the highway. Very small fenced doggy park. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Awesome park!! Just awesome - that's about all I can say - clean - neat - big spaces - nice doggy park - sparkling clean showers and bathrooms - wonderful breakfast with rolls, bagels, waffles and hard boiled eggs and more - good cable and internet service - actually no problems with either. Just an amazing park - near I-40 but enough buffers that you really cannot hear much noise from the road - a little west of town but close enough to everything. Just across from a Camping World if you need any supplies - trees - paved lots - picnic tables and patios - couldn't ask for more - truly - we will be back and back and back. We camped at American RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

USA RV Park, Gallup, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean and nicely kept up but the communications with the front desk is terrible - they rarely answer their phones - the voice mail box has been full for the last few days and they are not-responsive at all. This can make a BIG difference when the site they sent you to doesn't have sewer hook up - but - you paid for sewer hook up and you cannot find anyone - repeat anyone - to talk to about it. No one answers the phone - the voice mail box is FULL and you are left standing in the hot sunshine trying to figure out where to put a several ton vehicle. Oh well. It's a good overnight park - that's about it. We camped at USA RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park and the owners are improving it regularly - will have a dog park soon and it does have a nice rally room and a pool. There is a little noise from the highway but not more than most parks. The owners are very nice and anxious to please. We camped at Ole Towne Cotton Gin RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Williams / Exit 167 / Circle Pines KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Good park to be near to the Grand Canyon. Lot of noise from the road so take your earplugs. The sites are VERY tight so really watch out when you enter the park or leave. The employees were AWESOME and really know what it means for good customer service! We are a senior couple but there were a LOT of activities for families, and the kids really seemed to be enjoying everything! Friendly place! American RV Park & Sales, Corsicana, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park and wonderful staff - very helpful folks. Nice level lots and easy hook-ups. Fenced doggy park all the way in the back of the space and lots of handy doggy do bags posted throughout the park. The wi-fi comes and goes which is the only reason I did not give it a score of 10. I would stay here again and lots to do in the area - a nice planetarium at the college and a wonderful ""tea room"" in the old section of town. We enjoyed our stay. Texan RV Park, Athens, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This is an awesome park! Lots of space between sites - more space if you are willing to back in and not pull thru. The facilities are very well maintained and workers are in plain site working hard all the time. The managers are very nice and helpful and the rally room is not HUGE but very nice and has adjoining bathrooms and a dock and gazebo near the little lake - fun to feed the turtles and ducks at the lake. It's on the road but the site are so far off the road that you really never hear traffic - truly! We would stay here again in a heartbeat. And there are places to eat in Athens and Mabank - the Bean and Burger is a fun little place with good home cooking at a fair price. I truly recommend this park!
