Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA, North Little Rock, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nicely wooded park and would be very restful except for the road noise. I found it quite annoying when walking around. Otherwise we had a nice level concrete pull thru with plenty of room. Hook ups were convenient and worked fine. The cable was ok, but we found our antenna worked better. The laundry was nearby to our site, so it was very convenient, as well as clean and maintained. Lots of dog walking areas, friendly staff. We camped at Little Rock North / Jct. I-40 KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mustang Run RV Park, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, wide streets, easy pull thru sites, dog friendly, neat and well maintained facilities, and an appealing appearance. Hook ups worked fine. It's a new park, so GPS is not quite up to date with the correct exit, but which ever one is given will easily get you there. Shopping is nearby. Interestingly we left a day early, in a hurry because tornadoes were predicted. They never materialized. We camped at Mustang Run RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest parks we have stayed in. The sites are good size with bushes between the sites giving a nice private appeal. The grounds are well kept, sites are level, hook ups up to date. It's dog friendly with lots of green patches around for dog walking, although walking the perimeter is best to keep off sites. The dog run is better than most, the laundry nice, and they have a cute store where you can get souvenirs and other things. They have cable which was adequate, reception not the best but typical of what we found in our travels. It's near the interstate and very easy to get in and out. We would stay here again. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park), Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 2 nights, and this is a very nicely maintained and landscaped campground. We had plenty of room in a pull thru site, #118. All sites are gravel and leveling was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful, leading you to the site with a golf cart. The cable was okay, did not try WiFi as we use a hotspot. They have a nice store, and although we didn't use the laundry I'm sure it was clean, as the restroom was clean. We camped at Big Texan RV Ranch (formerly Amarillo Ranch RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tombstone RV Park and Campground, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground, nicely landscaped and maintained. We had a spacious, gravel pull thru. The cable tv worked okay, not great, and the wifi was spotty, but we used our own hotspot without a problem. The staff were friendly and helpful, the laundry was clean. The mountains nearby make for lovely views and nice day drives. Old Tombstone is a lot of fun and we enjoyed our stay. It is also dog friendly, although walking areas are limited since it is not a large park. We would stay here again. We camped at Tombstone RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 2 nights and loved it. The views of the Blue Ridge mountains are breathtaking. All sites are back in, but easy to maneuver, each site has an animal proof trash can and a little light and is nicely landscaped. Leveling was easy. The cable and Wi-Fi worked fine, and the camp hosts were very friendly and on the spot for any assistance needed. The entrance road is narrow and winding, but we had no problem with our 35' 5th wheel. They are in the process of adding a few more spots with excellent views and they are big rig friendly, plus they have a number of tent camping sites. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Fifth Wheel.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is right on the Mississippi River and a beautiful place to stay. All sites have a water view, with spots for motor homes and trailers, so the main window overlooks the river. The sites are spacious and are gravel or concrete. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can take tours into Memphis and they will pick you up at the camp. The laundry was clean, and free, surprisingly. The machines were all relatively new as well. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grand Ole RV Resort, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park while visiting Nashville, and it was very convenient. The staff is the friendliest and most helpful we encountered during our trip from Delaware to Arizona and back. The offered expert assistance backing into the site, and they are close together. The hookups worked fine, the laundry was clean. They have a food service and will deliver to your site. They have karaoke on Saturday nights, and a country group on Friday nights, so it was fun in the evening when staying put for the evening. The trains are very close and were annoying, but we would stay there again. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Justin's Diamond J RV Park, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our 3 month stay here. The mountain views, sunsets and surrounding desert landscape Is beautiful. The sites are small rocks under the rig and pea gravel for your patio area. All the premium sites by the desert are taken by repeat customers. There are no patio slabs or picnic tables. We put down a mat and it worked fine with tent stakes. Each site has little trees and bushes making it feel lush, and gives a sense of privacy. The sites are spacious for the most part, although a few are quite small. There are no amenities, few planned activities, and a very small laundry, but the rates are a lot less than most in the area. It's a few miles outside of Tucson, so shopping is a bit inconvenient. Again, the draw for this park is that it is out in the desert. There is no tv reception, bathhouses or restrooms. (I thin the office had one) You have to provide your own satellite dish. The owners are friendly and welcoming. The calling of the coyotes at night is quite remarkable. We camped at Justin's Diamond J RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Very nicely maintained, easy on and off I-95, spacious pull thru sites, cable works well, laundry clean and maintained. Great place for one night, and a few sites with gazebos for longer stays, along with a pool, hot tub and pool table. We've been here several times and know it will be a good stop. You can wash your RV as well. Great staff, always helpful. We camped at The RV Resort at Carolina Crossroads in a Fifth Wheel.

Arrowhead Marina & RV Park, Schenectady, New York

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This a lovely wooded park right next to the Mohawk River. It is wooded but has plenty of sun coming through the trees. They have FHU sites, and some without sewer, but the dump station is nearby and they offer twice weekly portable "honey wagon" service. We have used both types of sites. They also offer small camping sites with electricity only. The pull thru sites right next to the river are coveted and we have moved from an inner site to one when available. We have been here in August and September since we have family nearby. The roads are narrow but manageable, and the entrance is slightly awkward requiring a sharp right turn after crossing the inevitable RR tracks. The trains are numerous, they do use their whistle each time, but it is not a deterrent to this park for most people. It's a great place for long walks, lots of green grass, and there is a great bike path nearby. The laundry was clean and maintained and its a great place for walking your dog. We have camped here 3 times and will be back. We camped at Arrowhead Marina & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Have to agree with all the other positive reviews. Beautiful park, spacious pull thrus, friendly, helpful staff. Hook ups all in good shape and worked fine. Great for long walks with our dog. It was especially nice for us since the park was mostly empty other than our traveling companions in their own 5th wheel. Lovely grounds and wide roads. Will definitely stay here again. Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

All though this is a well run RV park, helpful staff and all amenities as advertised, it is a large concrete parking lot for RV's in an industrial area, nestled in amongst a cloverleaf of highways. The sites are very very close together, but we did have an easy pull thru site. The construction with regards to the park access is complete, but GPS hasn't caught up. Call ahead for the exit you actually should use and you will be fine. It's one sooner than the GPS route. Our rear window overlooked a storage for empty trailers for semi trucks. They welcome your dog, but there is really no where to walk them except on the concrete road to a dirt dog yard. Our dog was very unhappy there. There were no trees to alleviate the starkness of the park in our row, but there were a few nicer spots for long term. We stayed 2 nights and I was glad to be on the road again. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cowtown RV Park, Aledo, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We ended up staying here 9 days because of heavy rain and flooding In the region. The park had adequate drainage, so other than a lot of muddy roads and big puddles everywhere, we considered ourselves lucky. The park has lots of trees to camouflage the general shabbiness of most of the park. Our site was fine, and did not overlook the permanent residents, of which there were many with the usual stuff that seems to pile up in trailer living. Lots of places to walk our dog, and a few dog parks available. The laundry was clean. The cable reception was poor so we used our antenna with good results. In general the staff was helpful, expect the woman who managed the phone. She was curt and unfriendly. It was a convenient place to stay while visiting Ft. Worth and Dallas, with the short time we had without rain. The access road in and out was a little inconvenient, off the I-20 service road. You have to use the interstate exits to go anywhere. We would stay there again. We camped at Cowtown RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
