Grand Teton National Park,

Answer: We were not there in October last year, but we did camp in West Yellowstone in very late September last year, and in October the year prior. You'd need to check the websites for Yellowstone & Grand Teton to find opening & closing dates for the various facilities for 2018, but in general a few facilities will still be open then; most (especially in Yellowstone) close by end of September. Temperatures can be well below freezing overnight (20s and even teens are possible) and daytime highs will likely vary from the 50s to 60s; they could be less if it's a wet period. Each year is a little different. Last fall was drier and pretty pleasant; the fall before, October was raining/snowing much of the week we were there.
