Robidoux RV Park, Gering, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice RV Park. I think people have exaggerated the rating however. Large pull-thru, pull-in back-out and back-in sites with cement pad and paved roads. Lots of spacing between sites. It is right on the road and there is a truck traffic during the day and an occasional train but not that bothersome and quiet during the night. The only real complaint is that the electrical connection is on the side and very close to your RV making it difficult to open the side doors and having to position correctly to bring out slides. The web site said 27.00 but when we arrived it was 29.00. There is a 3.00 charge for cable which we didn't use. WiFi worked well. Signage is very poor. When you arrive, the tendency is to go right, instead continue to go straight, this will take you to the office which is in the back. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.

Fort Robinson State Park, Crawford, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Price paid reflects 37.00 campground fee and 8.00 state park day use fee. Nice park but way to expensive for a state park. Its absurd to charge a day use fee while staying in the CG. The Soldier loop is electric only, the Red Cloud loop has full hookups. Heard 2 trains 1 at midnight the other at 8am. Hwy 20 getting to the park is a very bumpy road. Would not stay again because of price. We camped at Fort Robinson State Park in a Motorhome.

Rushmore Shadows RV Resort, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 2 years ago, loved it then and glad to see it is still a great park. Some site are gravel others are cement. A lot of the gravel did not look level to me, ours was however. On the previous stay the WiFi did not work well, this visit it worked a lot better and we were at the far end of the park. The road noise was more then I expected, but not bothersome. Only complaint is that for most of the sites the RV oriented the wrong way with the afternoon sun on the passenger side. Highly recommend this park, would definitely stay again. We camped at Rushmore Shadows RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Badlands / White River KOA, Interior, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA. Proximity to Badlands NP is a big plus and 50A FHU. Most of the sites are pull-thru, but of various sizes. When making a reservation be sure to tell them how long our are or you could be put in a small pull-thru. The roads are a little narrow, I didn't think I had enough room so I backed out of our pull-thru. The majority of the site are shaded with a handful of sites in the open. New pool but not heated. Biggest complaint is that the WiFi did not work. Normally this would not be a problem, but there is little to no cell service. Talked to a staff member and they said on Oct 1 they are upgrading to fiber optic which should eliminate any WiFi issues. The cable was exceptionally good. Site was level. Would stay there again. We camped at Badlands / White River KOA in a Motorhome.

Hill's RV Park & Campground, Plankinton, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Just a standard RV park with all pull-thrus. There is a pool but it closes after labor day and there is a 2.00 charge. Staff is very friendly. Biggest problem is the constant noise from I-90. Sites are close together, but it wasn't crowded when we were there so it wasn't an issue. Your RV faces the wrong way, so you get afternoon sun on you passenger side and sun in you front window. There are trees, which helps provide some shade. Would stay again. Bathrooms are a little rustic but clean. We camped at Hill's RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Grand Falls Casino, Larchwood, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with the last reviewer. Small RV area with 14 pull-thru sites. The biggest problem is the rumble strips on the nearby road. It sounds like a truck engine brake, very noisy. The other problem is that your RV faces south, so you have the hot afternoon sun on the passenger side. You are allowed to use the hotel facilities, but you need to ask for a key. All of the sites are locked, so you have to go to the hotel registration desk before going to your site. We would stay again. Definitely ask for the lowered numbered sites. We camped at Grand Falls Casino in a Motorhome.

Christmas Mountain Village, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice CG. Their main emphasis is selling time shares. All of the facilities are 1st rate. There are a lot of activities and things to do at the CG. The sites are not very level, had to use blocks on our front wheels. My biggest complaint is that the staff has no clue as to what is going on. I called twice about directions. The 1st time I was told to us GPS. The 2nd time I was told to use the Lyndon entrance as described on their website (DON'T DO IT). So I followed the web site and the person on the phone and used the Lyndon entrance. It takes you to an unmanned gate with no signs on how to get to the registration desk. So I called the desk and asked for directions. While on the phone the person directed me into a parking lot!!. Had to unhook and back out. Called again, person had no idea on how to direct me, finally I insisted that they send someone, which they did, but he had me going the wrong way on the street. Just follow your GPS and you should be OK. That said I would stay again. We camped at Christmas Mountain Village in a Motorhome.

Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center, Port Clinton, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Nice CG with long back-in sites. The sites are paved and nicely spaced. My only dig is that it is too expensive for just a FHU site with no other amenities. I don't qualify for a discount, so had to pay full price. Sewer hook-up is a little strange but worked OK for me. Verizon signal excellent. Not sure I would stay again because of the price. Google maps is incorrect, make sure you turn on Niagara go all the way to the end and make a right to go to the office. We camped at Camp Perry Lodging & Conference Center in a Motorhome.

Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

One of the most enjoyable stays we have had. The person who took our reservation did an excellent job and put us in a site which had everything we asked for. Lots of amenities. The chicken parmigiana was excellent at the restaurant. Somebody thought about what they were doing because the hook-ups are all in the right place. Can't say enough on how much we enjoyed it here. The only reasons it is not a 10 is because the WiFi is slow and site not paved, just gravel. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Indian Creek RV & Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Bass Lake Resort, Parish, New York

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This has been one of the most un-enjoyable experiences in 3 years of rving. 1) We made our reservation 2 months ahead of time and requested FHU. When we arrived we were given a W/E. 2) The voltage at the pedestal is very low, sometimes as low as 105 volts, so not all ACs could be used 3) The water tastes terrible. 4) The site is not level with a large back to front slope. We had to use leveling blocks on our MH to keep the tires on the ground. 5) The site orientation is wrong so you get the hot afternoon sun in your sitting area. 6) Roads are really bad. The reason for a 5 score is because of activities and pool, else it would be much lower. We would definitely not stay again. We camped at Bass Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

really nice CG with most sites having a view of the lake. Sites are large and spacious. Sites are grass. I would have given them a higher score but the bathrooms need an update and the showers are coin operated. Everybody was really nice and friendly. We would stay here again. Stony Brook Recreation and Camping, Hanover, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The community has let me down again. No way this is a 7.5 park. People are extremely nice, but the RV sites leave a lot to be desired. They are just sandy dirt with dying grass in between and not level (my front wheels were off the ground). The roads are horrible. Dumpster is to far away. There's a pool and the food at the restaurant was good. But 40 dollars is way too much for what it is. Should be no more than 30. Would not stay there again. Shore Hills Campground and RV Park, Boothbay, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Just an OK park. Not worth the price.. Bathrooms are very rustic. Large pull thrus and backins. Our site was number 148. It was really hard to level. It had a bad front to back and side to side tilt. . Close to Boothbay, they also have a shuttle for 3.00. We camped at Shore Hills Campground and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Very pretty park nestled among the trees. Nice heated pool with gaming area. WiFi was very good and usable. My only complaint is that the sites are dirt. When it rains everything gets muddy, a little gravel would go a long way. Close to commuter train station. Nice but for 64.00 I don't expect to be stepping into mud. Pinewood Lodge Campground, Plymouth, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Nice CG in a wooded environment. Lots of tall trees. Sandy beach and swimming area by the lake as well as playground. Lots of gun noises from nearby range as well as private airplanes. My biggest complaint is the price. 47 dollars is to much for a W/E site on muddy grass. Honey wagon is on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $20 or on demand for $40. On top of that they charge for showers, .25 for 3 min. We camped at Pinewood Lodge Campground in a Motorhome.
