JBSA Sunny Side (Randolph AFB) Canyon Lake RV Park (Military FamCamp) , Canyon Lake, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Very quiet and nature loving park. We had multiple families of deer show up, I wish I knew before arrival, I would have brought deer corn. Paved roads, concrete pad, very spacious. Short walk down to the lake and beautiful beach. No cable or even antenna reception, I missed American Idol Finale. No internet either but this is a beautiful campsite meant for quiet time with nature and family. Fire rings and picnic tables. We will return to Sunny side again to destress from daily life. We camped at JBSA Sunny Side (Randolph AFB) Canyon Lake RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain View RV Park, Bowie, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Small rv park located behind a gas station, we missed it and had to turn around. We picked our own site as there was only one other camper there besides the owners. They had full hook up and sewer which is all we needed passing through. We would stay again while passing thru. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oceanside RV Park, Oceanside, California

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

This park was very hard to locate off the main road, very small sign, we had to drive down and around the block to backtrack. I made our reservations online and the computer defaults to the first space available at the time, which was #1for us. Too small, the staff was friendly, put us in a pull through for the night. We had to live the next day because the spot we moved to was booked out during our full stay, not very convenient. The park is tight, paved and very crowded. It did have a family friendly feel with lots of kids riding beach cruisers. Alot of stray, feral cats roaming around. I love cats as they keep the rodents, snakes and bugs in check. All in all, I would stay again, but will call the park directly for reservations. We camped at Oceanside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The beach is not a quick walk like they say, you walk down the main road to the intersection then walk down several blocks. It's best to drive, especially if you want to go to the pier or the harbor.

Little Vineyard RV Park & Resort, Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The park sits among a row of RV parks, plenty to choose. All gravel, no grass....even the dog park area was dirt and weeds. Dogs struggled to find a spot. Spoiled dogs I suppose. Park itself was spacious and close to empty. Other parks seemed more crowded, probably due to price. I'd stay while passing through but not for a leisure vacation spot. Oh, no wine or vineyard to be seen. We camped at Little Vineyard RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Riverway RV Park, Llano, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park close to the river. Gravel pads, good space between neighbors. Nice recreation room, showers and kitchen. We rented kayaks for the entire day, $30 dollars each. My only complaint the sticker burs that were excessive throughout the entire park, large grassy field leading out to the river and even in our space grassy patch by the rig. It made our stay feel very inconvenienced. We had to carry out dog down to the water during walks. Also spent most of the time plucking burrs from paws, flip flops and throw rugs in our rig. Nice park except for the burrs. Suggest to the park, seasonal weed treatment and being very proactive on mowing after the spring rains. We camped at Riverway RV Park in a Motorhome.

Trailer Village RV Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Clean little park, gravel roads and level sites. Small bathrooms with showers. There are small grass lawns in front of park for our Aussie to use. Cable tv only have us 4 channels, we got more on antenna. Hook ups were set up kind of strange, water and sewer hose crossed each other, the water spigot was very low on the ground sticking out about 4 inches right next to the sewer dump about 2 feet away. There was a little confusion about which patio pad was ours or our neighbor but only stayed one night so it wasnt an issue. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful offering places to eat and visit. Other guests were very friendly as well. The park is just down the road from main street so it was very quick to eat. All in all, this park is quaint and we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Trailer Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Cute, clean, well planned park. The attendant in the check-in/store was friendly and very helpful. Discounts at every turn. 2 gravel dog parks, no thorns in the dog park but some walking to the park. Private shower/bathrooms. Wi-Fi was OK, chromecast didn't connect but phones did. Well stocked store, no alcohol. The crater site was a must see, lots of stairs and walking, wear good shoes. Crater staff was extremely friendly. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tumble In RV Park , Marfa, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This little park has a good vibe. Its a simple park with simple amenities. Wi-Fi was very strong at our site. The wind was blowing strong so we flew a kite. The train came through several times but wasn't annoying. We stayed one night to see the ghost lights and we saw the ghost lights, mission accomplished. One negative point was the cute Tumble In sign coming back from the Marfa viewing center was out so we almost missed the entrance to the park in the dark, and it is extremely dark out there. Overall, pleasant experience. I would stay again. We camped at Tumble In RV Park in a Motorhome.

Black Bart's RV Park, Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Overall first impression was good but as we looked closer, it seems like this once quaint park has seen better days. Rutted roads, sites were extremely packed in tight and patio slabs broken. I was excited for the restaurant, but was turned off by the smell of cigarettes and old musty carpet. My chair lopped back and forth, thought I was going to fall off. The sewer drain was too far from our rig, had to close up slides and pull forward about 8 feet the next morning. The biggest letdown for me and my teenagers, no Wi-Fi! What the heck? As big, crowded, and expensive as our one night stay was, they need to upgrade to the 21st century. We did love the convenient location off I-40 and the big trees were lovely. The food and entertainment was good. We probably won't stay again. We camped at Black Bart's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Alamo River RV Resort, Von Ormy, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Our first visit at Alamo River RV with our new RV and I was pleased with all the amenities. The staff was extremely friendly and there was even a small store in case we forgot something. The dog park was perfect for our Aussie. We stayed in the lot close to the entrance, decent gravel lot with a large grassy area and picnic table. We walked past the cows and donkeys down to the Medina River. Absolutely gorgeous down in the tent camping area. The train horn seemed to blow every hour Friday evening but rarely blew Saturday. Nice little RV park, I would definitely recommend, especially for families visiting their graduating airmen from boot camp at Lackland AFB. We camped at Alamo River RV Resort in a Motorhome.
