City of Madison Campground, Madison, Indiana

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

1. Horrible Bathroom/Shower (that you have to leave a 5.00 deposit to get a key). The conditions of the facilities is not acceptable. I wouldn't take a shower here even if I hadn't bathed in weeks. Water dripped on my head, from the ceiling skylight, as I used the toilet. Just BAD! 2. Standing water and mud everywhere... our campsite flooded with a small shower. 3. THE CRAZY bright street lights over every site... blaring all night long!!! Really, this is not camping! 4. The spaces are so tight that you can reach out a touch the campers next to you... our neighbors started slamming car doors at 6:15am on Sunday morning. Once I was awakened, I started counting... 40+ door slams before these idiots pulled away and left. Simply unexplainably rude!!! I know this is not the campgrounds fault... but, this shows you what kind of visitors you'll find here. Pro: The camp host was nice and tried to help us with a good attitude. We camped at City of Madison Campground in a Truck Camper.

Daniel Boone National Forest (Twin Knobs Recreation Area), Morehead, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Site F-19 has partial lake view. $6.00 extra for that for a total of 30.00 per night. No power or water. High for what it is, but nice.

Lady at gate was nice and tried to make the very hinky process of picking a site a little easier. We camped at Daniel Boone National Forest (Twin Knobs Recreation Area) in a Tent.
