Riverside Campground & Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a pull thru (205) and the utilities were within easy reach. The sites are pretty close and I think we would only have a couple feet between our awning and the slides on the camper next door. They have a nice fenced dog play area. We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many things to do in the area. The traffic was comparable to a major city during rush hour. It took us about 10 minutes to get thru two traffic lights about 250' apart.

James Island County Park, Charleston, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived about a week after Huricane Dorian. The staff was still cleaning up downed branches and debris. Our site (and others) had a lot of debris pushed to the back of the site. The utilities were to the rear of the site which made it a challenge to hook up. We used two power cables and three sewer hoses to reach them. This park can be a challenge to get to with some narrow roads and lots of traffic. There are lots of things to do in the park for kids. We camped at James Island County Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oakwoods Trails Campground, Austin, Minnesota

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. On the side of a farm, with spacious camp sites, and oak trees all around. Gravel roads and sites, fire pit and table. Owners took us to the site and made sure it was OK with us. Roads are somewhat tight in a couple places but no problem to get thru if you're careful. Walking trail 3/4 mile long was nice. We would visit this park again. We camped at Oakwoods Trails Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Double J Campground and RV Park, Chatham, Illinois

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff on check-in. They have a great dog walk area that is lit till about 10 PM. Park roads are easy to navigate and locate sites. Cable TV and Wifi (Wifi was the best we have seen in a campground). Good Verizon service. Only concern was the close proximity of the fire pits to the camper or vehicle at adjoining sites. I would be concerned about damage to my camper/vehicle or me damaging theirs. We camped at Double J Campground and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bishop Lake Campgrounds at Brighton State Recreation Area, Brighton, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Very busy 6th to 10th, then many open spaces. On arrival our fire pit contained trash and unburned food packaging. Mentioned it to the Campground Host and he cleaned it within 10 minutes. Helpful, friendly staff! Campers next to us had trouble with raccoons taking their dog food container during the night. We would stay here again. We camped at Bishop Lake Campgrounds at Brighton State Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Lake State Park, Manistique, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park next to the lake. Camped there July 5th and as expected the park was near capacity. Some vehicles close to the roads but could still pull our 32' trailer through no problem. Site 60, at the end of the loop, was nice and wide with some privacy on two sides. Easy to back into. Friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Indian Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Indian Point Campground, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I have to preface with the Duluth area had received several days of rain prior to and during our arrival. We were scheduled for site 56 and the staff offered us site 60 if 56 wasn't suitable. We looked at 56 and found the rear portion under water, so we went to 60, which was relatively dry (but muddy). We received a heavy rain at that point and the water drained well. The sites with electric and water are very close together. The park is located next to the river and seagulls and geese visit frequently (fun to watch but messy). The staff was very friendly and accomodating. We were there Sunday to Wednesday and here were many sites available but started to fill on Wed. Close to attractions in Duluth and surrounding areas. Would go there again depending on weather. We camped at Indian Point Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lake Bemidji State Park, Bemidji, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly and helpful staff. The dump station is set up for a single trailer, but has a slight slope away from the pit that prevents you from completely draining the black and grey tanks. Typical of state parks the water hose is short and has had the end cut off to prevent flushing the black tank. There was no hose on the potable water spigot so have your own hose handy. Most sites weren't level so you will need blocks. Nice and quite in the park. We camped at Lake Bemidji State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Interstate State Park, Taylors Falls, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Nice State Park Campground. We arrived about 6:30 PM on a Tuesday and the staff was about to close the office for the day. They were very helpful with maps and directions to the site we had reserved online. The site was not level but we were able to level with our blocks. The road (loop) was tight in a couple places for our truck and 32' trailer, but was manageable. The park was only about 10 to 15% occupied and was fairly quite. It is close to the highway and traffic noise is present but it did quite down after dark. We camped at Interstate State Park in a Travel Trailer.
