Whistle Stop RV Resort, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The only BIG gig I could give this park is they need paved streets! This is our 2nd visit here and the interior roads are still a white crushed limestone and its like powder and the wind blows it onto everything! Even sitting outside you get covered. Big spacious sites, clean and dog control is perfect! We really think the interior roads could deter future visits. We camped at Whistle Stop RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Clovis RV Park, Clovis, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent water, sewer and electric service. Dumpster close by. Large dirt/grass pull through site. Was some debris (bolts, screws and broken glass) we kept a close eye on for tire protection. This park was a trailer park in its day and great place to spend a day or two. Very quiet and close to anything you want to do in Clovis. We would stay again. We camped at Clovis RV Park in a Motorhome.

J & H RV Park (55 + Park), Flagstaff, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Really nice park with a lot of rules, no smoking/vaping inside your rig or out, very strict about dogs... husband was using his ladder to wash our windows and ran a quick errand ( we were ask twice to take the ladder down). A little extreme but no problem, they keep a nice park! Total gravel park, no grass at all but no dust issues either. Quite pricy for the area, but we would stay again! The lady at the front desk is super friendly and helpful! We camped at J & H RV Park (55 + Park) in a Motorhome.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is really a nice park, beautiful pools and amenities are above and beyond and for a good price. Check in easy, nice store, bar and food! Cons....we paid for a delux plus site...received a long back in spot on a curve which would have been OK except the hook ups were almost at the front of the site and we had to pull our coach to the very front of the site. This left no room to park except along side of our front door! We had 20 feet of concrete behind our coach where we had to sit and look at the back of the coach or a cement wall. Just ask for a pull through site, they cost less and would have been perfect for us. Plus sites aren't always better. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Shady Lane RV Camp, Barstow, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good stop over for a night traveling the area. Very dusty, NO grass anywhere. But your in the desert! They take you directly to your sight first then you come to the office to settle up. $4.00 charge for 50amp service. Good Sam discount, so we broke even. 50 amp service was marginal (116-121), but we did fine. Cheap ice at the office for $1.00 a bag....win win! We would certainly stay again! Good people and they stay pretty full all the time! We camped at Shady Lane RV Camp in a Motorhome.

Bridgeport Reservoir Marina & RV Park, Bridgeport, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This park is the fishing getaway you always wanted! Nice Marina with boats and rentals available. Breathtaking view of the reservoir with Sierra mountains for a backdrop! We had a pull through site facing the lake and plenty of room! Close (25 miles) from the Lee Vining entrance to Yosemite. Little town close by but very pricey on food and gas! Come stocked up on what you need. The park could use a good spread of gravel was my only con. Small amount of grass next to the coach with they are nursing along. We camped at Bridgeport Reservoir Marina & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park, Carson City, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Good place to stop for a few days to see this area. Sites are close, but we managed. No grass for my fur babies. People are bad about picking up after their dogs...even in the dog run which we won't use! Roads are tight as well but we had no trouble getting our 40 foot coach in and out! Casino is within walking distance and the food was really good! We camped at Gold Dust West Carson City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Days End RV Park, Standish, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This a nice little horseshoe shaped park with pull thru sites down the middle. Perimeter sites are long term, but neat, clean and no junk sitting around. We stopped for a two night rest on our way south and have no complaints at all. Utilities are all perfect, space may a little tight but was not an issue. Beautiful soft grass at every site and that is appreciated sitting outside. Gravel sites and roadway, but very level. Easy in and easy out! We will be back for sure. We camped at Days End RV Park in a Motorhome.

Blue Barn & RV Park, Dallesport, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a relatively new park, gravel roadway with small grass area on the sides of a few sites around the perimeter. Sites are really tight and roadway difficult to maneuver, but we made it work. It's not a bad park for a couple nights if your traveling through. Has a bar/grill onsite and the food was pretty good. Declare 50amp if that's what you need, there aren't many. Owner is super friendly and she was anxious to assist with everything we needed. We camped at Blue Barn & RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park goes straight to the top of our list! Nothing to ding it on! Sits right on the Snake River, has a great Marina, paved roads, wide concrete pads with hook ups on both sides so you can choose your view, shade or share with RV buddies! Soft manicured grass. Indoor pool and hot tub! Just can't say enough good stuff. We will be back! We camped at Hells Canyon Resort in a Motorhome.

Woodland RV Park, Libby, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This park is truly a little hidden gem that we ran across. I booked online and they gave me a discount for that plus a Good Sam rate! The sites are enormous and pull throughs are like 80 feet long! You don't have to unhook if you don't need to. Tall pines, and the park layout is such that everyone has a nice view. We really enjoyed this park and will be back! We camped at Woodland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Libby is a quaint little town with a lot of character; they have a museum that is a must see which pleasantly surprised us. Then you MUST see the falls and swinging bridge. The hike to both is maybe 2.5 miles round trip and so worth the effort. The falls are some of the most beautiful we have seen...and we saw Multanoma Falls. So glad we stopped in this town on our way to Glacier.

Clear Lake Recreation Area (Military FamCamp), Cheney, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This park sits right on Clear Lake, which is beautiful. Dock, water rentals available and a snack bar. The RV section is completely off the paved access to the lake. Gravel dirt road and all the RV sites are tight and in a straight row. If you come in with a clean rig, you will leave with a dirty one, the dust rolls with the traffic. All sites face a large picnic area and playground which has nice shade and grass area for walking pets. But for $20.00 a night we made do! We camped at Clear Lake Recreation Area (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Spokane is very close and we visited the downtown mall, waterfall. There is a sky ride that takes you across the falls and back. They tout it as a 15 min ride when it actually would take 4-5 minutes if you went nonstop; it stops every 20 feet for 5 minutes.

Easy in and out from hwy 90. Beautiful canyons surround this park. Attaches to a really nice gold course for a nice view. This is OK if you need an overnight spot, pretty run down and really could use some TLC. In fairness this gentleman has just taken this park over in the last 6 weeks and trying to make improvements.
