The main staff is the only reason this review is as high as it is. The campsite itself was clean, our pull-through site was huge, and the staff was very kind and helpful. My low review, however, is specifically to the pool staff. We were swimming in the late afternoon, and there was a good sized staff of lifeguards of 4 or 5. They must've had friends swimming, because, despite all the guard towers, they all sat in pool chairs on the same side of the pool chatting with each other, their friends in the pool, and taking pictures with their phones. Yes, at least 2 of them had their phones out, taking selfies!
We only stayed there for the night, but the place had a good friendly vibe to it. I'm not sure if we'd stay there again, but I would warn, not necessarily discourage, people from staying there. We
camped at Batesville KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Riverview Ridge Campground, Cascade, Iowa

Overall Rating:
I found this campground after a long google search of any campgrounds more than an hour away from us. We made the reservation, and then I read the previous review on here, and was a little freaked out. We arrived and there was NOTHING to worry about! There are tons of seasonal campers parked there, and they're all along the perimeter, and we were one of the few weekenders there. The campground is converted farmland, and the trees are still babies so they don't provide shade, so we just put up our awning :) Our kids and dogs really enjoyed walking down to the beach, playing in the river, and going on hikes through the woods. We were there in the beginning of camping season, and I can imagine it's quite the party destination in the middle of the summer, especially with the tubers. That being said, we can't WAIT to go back!! We camped at Riverview Ridge Campground in a Travel Trailer.
