Battle Ground Lake State Park, Battle Ground, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

Park is not too bad. The water is dirty and we were told there were no hook up sites. Nobody seemed be around to ask. Didn't seem to have many details on how anything worked. Restrooms and showers were clean. We camped at Battle Ground Lake State Park in a Tent.

Paradise Point State Park, Ridgefield, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in and it looked woodsy and nice. Not totally full either. Then we noticed some of the other sites that look like the homeless tent city. The bathrooms had several syringes on the floor and were filthy. That night we saw some very scary things: people lurking behind trees, running out and yelling profanity, dogs that are not leashed and roaming, some very unfriendly people. There is a sense of weariness, you are constantly looking over your shoulder and where you walk. There are needles and drug remnants everywhere. Did not see any workers, just a ranger. The noise is so obnoxious from the freeway, you can't hear anything else. A beautiful park that will scare you to death. If you are a thrill seeker, this one is for you. Honestly this place is dangerous and scary: stay away. We camped at Paradise Point State Park in a Travel Trailer.
