Wagon Master RV Park, Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

We have been on the road for a month full timing as a family. We had to stay close to Dallas to fly back east in early May. When we discovered that there was alpacas at this RV park there was no question this is where we wanted to be. It turned out to be our favorite RV park to date

The park owners live on site and are closely involved with what happens at the park. They were just a text away if we needed anything. We stayed for three weeks and enjoyed the pool and feeding the alpacas. They have a wonderful homeschool program for residents. Our site was very close to bathrooms and I was so impressed with the cleanliness and beauty of the bathrooms. They also have a beautiful clubhouse you can rent for events or cookouts. The laundry facility was spacious and very affordable. Open 24 hours a day.

The Wagon Master runs at full capacity most of the time so if you want a reservation check far in an advance. We absolutely loved our stay in Sanger Texas.  We camped at Wagon Master RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We just went to Denton if we needed anything. Walmart, SAMs and Starbucks covered it for us.

Eisenhower State Park, Denison, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

Our visit to Eisenhower State Park was our very first experience at any State Park. We were pleasantly surprised at the beauty of the park. Our site had full hook ups which I understand now is unusual for a state park. We loved the swimming area, the caves and the rock climbing. The trees around our site were beautiful as well. The sites are clean and spacious with a the fire pit and picnic table. We enjoyed time around the fire with very friendly Texans the first weeks and fell in love with Texas State Parks.  My nine and seven-year-old enjoyed the Junior Ranger program and earned their first badges. The Eisenhower State Park book is different from other Texas SP Junior Ranger program books. It focuses on General Dwight D Eisenhower. We enjoyed learning about his life and legacy. We loved every minute of our 2 week stay. We camped at Eisenhower State Park in a Motorhome.
