Jude Travel Park, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

It's a gated park with great owners who are very conscientious about their park. During our roughly 16 day stay we had to leave our trailer parked for about 4 days---and did so without incident. The only reason I didn't give them 10 stars was due to WiFi service, though it's not a mandatory provision, it would be nice if it worked more often. Otherwise, there's a reasonable amount of shade (especially considering the other parks in the area, even one named after trees, had absolutely none to speak of), and I felt completely comfortable letting my daughter wander around the park without worrying that she wouldn't come back safely. As far as parking goes---there are no pull-through sites, but the owners are very helpful in guiding us into a spot. There's a nice pool and hot tub to avail yourself of. All, in all, probably one of the best offers in the area. FYI: They give you a thorough accounting of all of their optional services and advice for your visit on the welcome sheet. We did not read it initially, but we recommend that you do (they mentioned that no one ever does, and perhaps it's time to change that). They know what they're doing, and we'll be back next year.

Once again: Read the welcome sheet they give you upon arrival. It will save you time and effort. They also have brochures for everything you may want to do in the office (as do a lot of places around town). We camped at Jude Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A reasonable shuttle service to the French Quarter, and a deli about one door down that offers reasonably priced, delicious food.
