Steamboat Bend Campground, Cincinnati, Ohio

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We rented a space for the month for $410. The driveway is gravel, the camp site is grass/mud, and you are required to mow your own grass. There is no bathhouse or sewer. The sites on the side that we stayed apparently have a known electrical problem, especially when the camp is busy. We were never told this and we could only run the refrigerator. Our son is disabled and we need full electrical services at all times because he is ventilator dependent and you aren't allowed to run a generator during quiet hours. We had leave our RV and come home during the holiday weekend due to insufficient electricity services. The grounds are very wet due to rain and lack of gravel or paved sites. If you are traveling with an elderly or disabled individual I would not recommend this camping experience. The parks employees are not honest about what sites have adequate hookups. Another couple was moved an hour before we were told our electricity would be an issue for the entire weekend despite prepaying for the month. Only rents by the week or month and no chance of being directly on the river. Those sites have been reserved for years. So what small amount of time we actually were there we spent looking at the back of 5th wheels. People also park in your designated campsite and that seems to be allowed. We camped at Steamboat Bend Campground in a Motorhome.
