Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground), Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

First impression was not good as driving up was a retired KOA. Checking in was quite easy, we had reserved on line and the staff was very friendly. We were only overnighting so reserved a pull through site with full hookups less cable. First sites are narrow, the first site we were assigned could not make the turn from drive into site as not enough turning room. We are 40' towing a pickup. Asked in office for a more manageable site and was signed a different site. Now I have been driving large motorhomes since 1995. Our current rig just turned 120000 miles of my driving. I can get this rig in almost anywhere. The second site had large rocks to protect utilities and with the narrow sites just could not get in w/o unhooking. Came within inches of taking out a fender. Not a big issue but still a fair annoyance. The general impression is this park needs significant infrastructure improvements. From space width to utility location. The holders need to go for sure. On the plus side the electric was great and the water was good. Interior roads are in poor shape with uneven spots and breaking up asphalt. I can not in recommend this park for large RV's. We camped at Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

For campers able to pull through w/o unhooking they have a loaner vehicle for running errands or getting a meal. A first in my experience.

Corral Drive-In RV Park, Guymon, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Selected this park due to the fact they have a service center in conjunction to the park. Had a transfer switch that needed replaced. Called ahead and advised my arrival and that the switch was in route. When arriving was very pleased at the condition and cleanliness of the park grounds. Was advised that my part had arrived, was given a spot and about 2 hours later the service technician came to the coach and performed the need work. The working drive-in is an added attraction and the concession pizza was good. We camped at Corral Drive-In RV Park in a Motorhome.

Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park, Ashland, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times. Campground fairly new and all utilities very good. Not much shade so rooftop satellites very good. All sites have picnic table and fire ring. Terraced so all sites have great view of lake. This lake is seasonal so depth varies, but some sites are within 25 feet or so of water if lake is high. Very good paved roads and sites. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Junction RV Park, Junction, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park for self contained units. Located 1 block off the US 89 it is quiet and while in town has a secluded feel. The staff is friendly and the park is clean and well maintained. There are picnic tables at each site and a common fire ring (wood included) for use by all. You can access the Utah OHV trail system from the park w/o having to trailer to trail heads. A recently added laundry is a nice addition. We camped at Junction RV Park in a Motorhome.
