Moose Creek RV Park and B&B (formerly San-Suz-Ed RV Park), West Glacier, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park close to entrance of Glacier National Park. Several other parks within easy drive. Easy check in. Internal roads were paved but bumpy; slow down. We had to disconnect our toad to get into spot 34 pull-through because turn was a bit tight. Sites are separated with wild growth and are fairly narrow. They are very long which allows setting up a nice area in front or behind your rig. Nice sized dog run. Spotty wifi but hard to have a great system in a heavily treed park. Got our portable satellite to work but that will be spot dependent. We camped at Moose Creek RV Park and B&B (formerly San-Suz-Ed RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Morro Strand State Beach, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Parking lot at the beach but paved and level sites with full hook-ups. Sites are narrow as they are at most beach parks. Busy with a lot of turnover in the dry spots but everyone was quiet and nice. Ocean view and you hear the waves all night. Windy with the tides, saw several pop-ups destroyed in the afternoons. No fires allowed in the back in 50 amp spots so if that's important to you then dry spots are best. No dogs allowed on the beach but they are just north of the park and there's an off-leash area near Morro Rock. We camped at Morro Strand State Beach in a Motorhome.

Pirate Cove RV Resort & Marina, Needles, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed with a group of four in one of the Coves. Nice to have a area to ourselves with a private beach. Outstanding park if you have a boat or ATV. Dusty but that's to be expected in the desert. Layout of the coves vary; we expected to all be around the edge with a party area in the center but ended up with two rigs side by side and two backed in. Sort of weird but it worked. We camped at Pirate Cove RV Resort & Marina in a Motorhome.

Nice party place, ATV's and boat heaven. Private cove was nice since there were four in our group. Grocery store and restaurant were nice, and they have a shuttle to/from your site in case you plan to drink. Windy and dusty when we were there so be prepared to clean! Only complaint is condition of the interior roads; they really need a repave.

Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp), Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station, California

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We loved this park! Beautiful park next to bird sanctuary; we enjoyed watching the herons, swans, and all the ground squirrels. Nice walking trail and only 1 mile from Seal Beach. Great cinnamon rolls on main street. Large spots, concrete pads, grounds extremely well kept. Price is going up to $40 but that's still good for the area. We camped at Seabreeze RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Wonderland RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park if visiting Capitol Reef National Park. Easy drive and access in the park. Park does back up to the highway and we were in a back-in spot but heard very little road noise and traffic was very light after dark. One of the cleanest parks I've ever stayed at! Enjoy the apples. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Motorhome.

Canyons of Escalante RV Park, Escalante, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

If in a motorhome with slides on both sides I recommend trying a nearby park. We were in site 16 and after extending slides we basically had just enough space to walk down the sides of the rig. If your primary focus is visiting this beautiful area and don't sit outside, this park is okay. Everything worked fine, facilities were very clean, roof satellite easily connected. If in the area again I will stay at the park across the road for easier parking and wider spaces. We camped at Canyons of Escalante RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay if visiting Bryce Canyon; shuttle picks you up in front of park if you don't want to drive. Check in parking can be a challenge; people pull in and stop at all angles, blocking the road. The people working the desk are great and check-in process was easy. Park roads are in great shape but drive slow to keep from kicking up dust. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Petaluma Lake RV Park (Military FamCamp), Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful location and you can't beat the price. Concrete pads. We were in the spot next to the playground and it was level; looks like two others are but the other three are very uneven...two motor homes had front tires six inches or so off the ground on blocks. Drive slow, they enforce the speed limits! Food at dining halls is outstanding and retirees are allowed to eat there. No signs direct you to the campground! After getting through the gate continue down road until stop sign past gas station. Turn left. Drive to large propane tank and turn right. Continue to stop sign then turn left after lake. We camped at Petaluma Lake RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Overall Rating:

Our third stay through the years, really like this park. Location right on the Avenue of the Giants but park area has clear sky so easy to use roof DirecTV satellite. Verizon signal booster at pavilion, no ATT service at all. Wifi is free for some data and worked well although it went down many evenings late. Reasonable fee in my opinion if you wanted to use more. Very nice people and gift shop. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Motorhome.

Loleta Cheese Factory! When you drive up your first thought will be to keep going but stop! Wonderful variety of grilled cheese sandwiches...we went twice! There cheese is very good and we used their smoked cheddar in some mac and cheese...awesome! Ferndale was a fun stop and the beach about six miles west had some great waves.

Kamp Klamath RV Park, Klamath, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Park wasn't what I expected and my view may be sour after two weeks in beautiful Oregon State Parks. Drive in was down a narrow bumpy road but nothing bad. Pulled in and lady in the office was very nice, got us checked in quickly. We were assigned spot 10 and she said it was best if she walked me to it before parking since our rig is 40 feet. Basically a grass area with 10 spots that are very close together. I asked if we could get one of the closer spots (like 2 - 5) because I was going to have to jockey the rig to park; she said no. I asked if park was full but she said no...not sure why I couldn't move because only two other trailers during our 4 day stay. Got parked and our hitch was over sewer pipe which was behind rig but we made it work. Sites very close together, luckily nobody else came in or it would have felt like fairground event parking. NOTE: there is an upper area of the park laid out like a conventional park that looked nicer. Not sure how many big rigs would fit. VERY bumpy approach...go slow! Power post was leaning quite a bit but worked. Sewer was slow to drain. No ATT cell, DirecTV satellite worked fine. No wifi though advertised. Went to office when we couldn't connect and was just told it was pretty poor. Good stuff: nice people, band and bbq on Saturday night. Probably would look for other options next time. We camped at Kamp Klamath RV Park in a Motorhome.

Humbug Mountain State Park, Port Orford, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Would be a 10 in my book if had sewer; will definitely return! Bathrooms were newer and well kept, numerous camp hosts and park personnel kept the entire park clean. ATT cell service in lower camp which is nearer to beach; couldn't get in our site (22). Did get DirecTV with roof satellite, would be hit or miss in this park. Short walk to private beach with beautiful sunsets and waves. Strong phone signal there so many park residents every night. We camped at Humbug Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful park if visiting Astoria. KOA just outside the park if you can't get a site with sewer but the dump station at the park has three lanes and is easy access. We spent five days in park with W/E. Huge spot, tons of room between sites. Very busy park so book early. Roof satellite worked perfect for DirecTV in this site.
