Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground, Iskut, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The view from the pull-through RV sites is outstanding! The short drive from the main road down to the park road was dusty and narrow in spots. Wi-fi was advertised as available but we could never get it to connect to check emails. It was limited to checking emails and surfing the web, but no uploads/downloads of photos, etc. There is only one restroom/coin-operated shower for men and one for women that serves both the campground area and the RV park. One. I guess it is assumed that RVers will use their own showers however ours is too small in our rig so we prefer to not use it. The parking pads for the sites were fairly level. Not all of the RV sites have picnic tables. Our grassy area was sloped so things kept sliding off of our plastic topped table. I noticed in another site the people moved the table behind their trailer where it would be more usable. The park is well manicured and restroom was clean. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Meziadin Provincial Park, Meziadin Junction, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was a lovely BC Provincial park. We were able to get a non-serviced site across the road from the lake without a reservation. Most of the lakefront sites were already reserved. Wi-fi is available for a fee. Pit toilets, but very clean. The camp hosts were extremely pleasant and friendly. Loved all of the flowers around the campground. Except for the mosquitoes that were out in full force, we enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again. Our site was partially shared with the site next to ours but still felt private. We camped at Meziadin Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Get there early (before 3 pm) for better site selections. Looks like a good lake for kayaking (did not do).

Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV Campground, Telkwa, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

We made a same day reservation after having to divert up the Cassiar Highway due to flooding near Chetwynd. Check-in was a pleasant process and we had a choice of sites to choose from. We selected a site on the upper terrace to be closer to the showers for my elderly mother. We were going to stay just one night but the site overlooking the river and the superb wi-fi made us decide to stay two nights. No extra charge for showers and they were clean. Firewood available for purchase and you had your own firepit at the back of the site. Close to the town of Smithers for shopping. Friendly owner and we would most definitely stay here again. We camped at Fort Telkwa Riverfront RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

MamaYeh RV Park, Prince George, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

While amenities may be lacking here for some, the size of the site and cleanliness of the park was just fine for me. The owner is super nice and friendly. The park is still a work in process and I think with time it will be a gem. WiFi was difficult trying to connect at "the Office" however I understand expansion is in the works. Easy access to/from Hwy 97. Short drive to Prince George. Great for an overnight stay. Lots of wildflowers throughout the park this time of year. My one piece of input is that if you are not traveling with a cell phone, you need to find the owner to get the WiFi password. If you have a cell phone, it is a simple process contacting the owner who may not be on site. Very prompt response! I would stay here again. We camped at MamaYeh RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Gold Trail RV Park, Clinton, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

The park was clean although our site was tight, especially for the person next to us. They would not have been able to open their awning. The owner was interesting and the BBQ food was just okay. A bit overcooked but was better than cooking. The WiFi was a joke. We were not asked to pay for it and only got about an hour use, if that, because we were told it wouldn't be turned on until around 5 PM and then we had dinner there. Will not stay again if passing through the area although the price was not bad for full hookups. We camped at Gold Trail RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Kekuli Bay Provincial Park, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access to and from Hwy 97. Road noise was not an issue for us although we stayed at a lower level site. Great view of Kalamalka Lake. Marmots, although entertaining, can leave a mess in the grass around the site. Only stayed one night passing through the Vernon area. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Kekuli Bay Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The lower the loop (or closer to the lake) the better to move you further from the highway.

Wine Country RV Park, Prosser, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at this resort.. Having use of meeting room with dining facilities came in handy for our group potluck meals. Site was a little tight lengthwise but we did fit with a few feet to spare. Nice grassy site. Clean park. Convenient to wineries and shopping in Prosser and surrounding areas. Would stay here again. We camped at Wine Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
