Bay Palms RV Resort, Coden, Alabama

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was not an RV resort, it is a trailer park because of all of the permanent residents. We stayed for a week. We were promised a pull through. When we arrived, we were assigned to a back in. That was resolved. Our site was between two guys who were repairing their motorcycles and guys on the other side working on a boat. We spent zero time outside because there was no picnic table and the views on either side were boat or cycle repair, with greasy rugs on the ground. The power, water, cable and wifi did work. The wifi was probably better than most sites. We carry our own wifi because of that, but used the park's wifi some in this instance. We camped at Bay Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rapid City / Black Hills KOA, Rapid City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved a deluxe pull through site about four months ago for a ten-night stay. The website shows these sites to be paved with concrete and to have a patio and furniture. I confirmed this on the phone when the reservation was booked. We have a gravel site that has holes and ruts. No patio. When I spoke with the manager, she said it had 50 amps and that made it deluxe. Nothing else mattered. Wi-Fi is not good, either. Basically, we have uneven gravel and dead weeds. I only gave some credit because water, electricity, and cable are working. Not deluxe at all. We camped at Rapid City / Black Hills KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
