Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA, Starke, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Well kept grounds, polite and friendly staff. Pull thru site was easy access in and out. Pool area clean and inviting. At the time we stayed the park didn't offer a weekly rate so it got a bit expensive for our extended vacation, that's the only reason we switched parks. Otherwise would have stayed longer. We camped at Starke / Gainesville N.E. KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

When you check in they give you a coupon for 10% off at a small barbeque place just outside the gate (walk there in 2 minutes) so it's convenient, staff is super friendly, and it's great food...although I'd call it more like smoked than barbeque, don't expect it to have any sauce on it, it's kind of different than we expected :-)

Big Oak RV Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Nice shaded lots, fairly easy to navigate. Friendly staff. Our pull thru space was a bit short, we could fit our 5th wheel for a convenient hook up, but had trouble finding a place to park our truck. Clean, would recommend and would stay again. We camped at Big Oak RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside Travel Park, Tallahassee, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We pulled in and paid up front for a week, we should have looked around first. Most occupants were (very) long term, in quite old trailers with cluttered/unkempt site surrounding. Our assigned site wouldn't work for our 5th wheel length so they told us we could move (very polite and accommodating) then when we pulled into the new site we noticed that the rig next to us had a sign in their window that pictured a handgun and said 'this site protected by...'. At that point we just left, even though we had prepaid close to $185 we decided it wasn't worth it to stay there. It just wasn't a good fit for us. We camped at Lakeside Travel Park in a Fifth Wheel.
