Alexandria Shooting Park and RV Campground, Alexandria, Minnesota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Huge grass field with gravel roads and grass pull thru. Sites were huge! This was simply a place to stay for us. The price was awesome! We arrived, set up, walked the dogs, dropped the fee in the overnight drop box. We got a great night sleep and were on our way home. If you are looking for a one night stop on your way to somewhere else- this is a good place! The interstate is very close and can hear it outside, but we did not hear it inside. I would guess there are close to a hundred sites and we were one of ten. We camped at Alexandria Shooting Park and RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The interstate exit is closed if your heading west bound, and if your trying to get on the eastbound entrance ramp, it was closed. It looks like they are doing extensive road repairs. The east bound exit and the west bound entrance ramp will eventually be done too.

Big Sky Camp and RV Park, Miles City, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were going to stay 2 nights at this campground, but ended up leaving after the first. Seems like a decent campground when we first arrived. Check in was easy and the owners seems good. When we got to our site, it was ok. The problem was with what we were next to. One neighbor seemed to be a long stay or even permanent. There were milk crates full of items stored underneath and behind their camper. Their door was slightly opened and as I hooked up, the smell of cigarettes was strong in the air. I never saw the neighbor, but as I walked my dogs in the middle of the night, I could still smell the stale cigarette air. We were supposed to do some hiking, but did not have a good feeling about leaving our camper alone.

Cost was great, but just didn't feel very secure. The owners seemed very nice. Unfortunately there are permanent residents who don't seem to care. We camped at Big Sky Camp and RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A very large campground that is very spacious and clean. Our site was shady. Plenty of open space to walk our dogs. We arrived late and left early. We camped at General Sibley Island Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Seemed like a good park, we're here for 2 nights. The site was close to a corner in the road, so it was tight backing in- was able to make it fairly easy. What made it difficult was the vehicle parking of others nearby. We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Try Gem Mountain; it was a pretty fun time for the entire family, but it was very warm -sunscreen and water!

Columbia Falls RV Park, Columbia Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Columbia Falls RV Park was a great place to stay. I wanted peace of mind for my family as I did some overnight hikes in Glacier. Being in town had it offer police and fire service quickly. Looking back on our stay it reminded me slightly of a gated community. If I had to offer a negative, it would be no camp fire ring- but I understand why they don't have them and we were completely happy with our stay. Our price was for 10 nights and included a discount. We camped at Columbia Falls RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Stay away from North Fork pizza- it was not very good and it was expensive!
