Taos Monte Bello RV Park, El Prado, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Great views and sunsets. Make a reservation as it is small and intimate. Owners are really friendly and on site always. This is their baby and they treat it and you as such. They have candy in the shop, but this is not really for you as the young Indians come in and they give it to them. We camped at Taos Monte Bello RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the Milicent Rogers museum. Very well done with lots of exhibits and important indian artifacts. If you are very curious, there is a alternative, off the grid set of homes nearby that are highly interesting to tour. Nowhere else in America.

Glenwood Canyon Resort, Glenwood Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Great location, but extraordinarily noisy from the train traffic all time of the day and night. Sewer not convenient, so an extension is probably necessary. The gravel was hard to walk on and almost impossible for bicycles. (There is a superb paved trail just outside, not to miss) This place is easy bicycling distance from the Glenwood Springs pool. Poor interior layout and shares the area with rafters, rafting and an underwhelming restaurant. We camped at Glenwood Canyon Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a great western wear shop in the center with authentic western stuff. If you are without kids, skip the Glenwood Springs pool and go for the much more adult and relaxed Iron Mountain springs which is close by. Take your bicycles up to Aspen and take the huge number of extremely friendly paths there. Including special busses for one-way trips. What else would one expect from a world class area?

Raton KOA, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very small park with limited number of spaces, so reserve well in advance. The owners/staff are friendly and helpful, going out to the rig in the darkness to check the electricity. There are few amenities and it is best for a stopover. We camped at Raton KOA in a Motorhome.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stop and stay. Ultra clean park, big and very well managed. The staff was very friendly. Near fuel station and Cadillac Ranch (which is not what it is cracked up to be). The campground is great, stay there for sure. Will definitely be back again. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The major attraction is the Dinosaur National Monument which is much better seen in museums around America as the artifact robbers were there well before you. Cool, (literally) building with not a whole lot to see. AS Colorado natives, we missed it our whole lives, and that proved not to be any detriment as once was more than sufficient.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Superb location and even better views of the surrounding mountains. Easy access to the park. Quiet and easy to navigate the roads. Well cared for and rustic (as in charming) buildings. Big negative in that they will NOT refund your deposit, so be prepared and make sure you come at the allotted time. Then enjoy! We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The national park is a wow and the town a tourist trap, albeit pleasant anyway. They have two (or more) major festivals not to miss, the Scandinavian and the Highlander, both being well worth the adventure and plan to stay a couple of days for each. There is lots to do In Estes Park, hiking, wildlife, scenes, festivals, miniature golf. and much more

Riverbend Motorcoach Resort, LaBelle, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $120.00
Overall Rating:

One of the classiest class A motorhome parks in Florida. 315 sites with a variety for rent or for sale. The "over the top" character is the friendliness of the people and their volunteer participation to bring added camaraderie. This is a place you visit one time and buy immediately. Large lots, excellent landscaping. The pool is huge, immaculately clean and sanitized with bromide which is so much better than chlorine. Activities abound and your arm gets tired waving at all the folks. Another important feature is that all of the drinking water is filtered with Reverse Osmosis, so it is extremely tasty and pure. Give it a try! We camped at Riverbend Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Hickory Point RV Park, Tarpon Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Believe it or not, but there was a rooster as one of the pets in the park. You will be most unhappy when it crows at 5am and the whole day. The bleeding hearts feed it and the owner will do nothing. You will quickly hate your visit here. The drives are small with tight turns. I hate excuses and we got a whopper here. We camped at Hickory Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

St. Augustine Beach KOA, St Augustine Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

We got a pull through bordering the lake which, after we moved, was magnificent. The problem is that for motorhomes as they direct you, the front window does not face the lake. It is possible, with very tight maneuvering to drive around so that you face the lake and then all is quite magnificent. Would only recommend that trouble for multiple days stay. This of course means that you have to put the utilities under the coach. Those sites were not level, so we had to make lots of modifications. The place is well located, but the drives are very tight and we had to drive over a curb to make it. It is overpriced as with other comments. Again, we really enjoyed looking at the lake. We camped at St. Augustine Beach KOA in a Motorhome.

Round Top Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $35.00

The site was a mudhole. The roads highly confusing and once down a lane, hard to turn the rig. Most sites are Park models or trailers, so there is little choice. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Campers Haven RV Resort, Dennis Port, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Mostly dilapidated Park models and trailers. RV sites were only a few and down in the 'hollow' which means they had no sewer because it was not functioning. Instead, they would drive a truck by and pump the black water for you which is nice, but necessary. Their location is on the beach. We camped at Campers Haven RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe Skies RV Park, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious sites on top of a hill overlooking Santa Fe. Can't wait for evenings with the magnificent sunsets and the lights of the city in the distance. The patio was decorated with luminarias and extremely inviting. Of course we were here in the cold (yes, it does get quite cold in the winter here.) Top condition of everything and a dance floor with Tango at least once a week. Don't miss this one as it is the best ever. We camped at Santa Fe Skies RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bandon By The Sea RV Park, Bandon, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Easy to pull your larger rig into and plenty of space for the tow vehicle. Nice people to work with. The only complaint is the speed of the Internet which they promise to upgrade. There were quite a number of long term residents also, but all is neat and orderly and quiet. Didn't like the speed bumps either, but this is a minor nuisance. We camped at Bandon By The Sea RV Park in a Motorhome.
