Running Bear Camping Area, Ascutney, Vermont

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice and clean campground. Recently upgraded. Staff make you feel like family. Great place for the kids too. Each site has a fire ring, and with the sales of wood at the office, one can have a nice evening fire. We camped at Running Bear Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Claremont NH is only 5 or 6 miles away, lots of places to eat or shop. Windsor is north of the campground, about 5 miles too. Small town, eating places and a few shops. Good fishing in the Connecticut River less than a mile away, or boating.

Overall Rating:

Very well cared for sites and overall facility. Grassy sites, on the river. Playground clean and swimming pool great. Internet service was fair, but I have been told its been improved. We camped at Abel Mountain Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Crazy Horse Campground, Littleton, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Shower had no hot water. Showers are a quarter for six minutes...of really cold water. Other campers' personal items all over the place, from underwear to opened bottles of shampoo. Just not enough attention to the bathrooms on a regular basis. Campsite had a picnic table so old it was rotten and all green. Ground so hard you bent the metal tent pegs to put tent up. Most of the campground is wooded, very tall old pines, and most of it on a slope. Old worn out bumpy roads going in. Office area and playground areas were fine. We camped at Crazy Horse Campground in a Tent.
