We camped here on April 1 and 2 in #116. First the positives: great bathrooms, spacious sites, beautiful lake view, and the space to back our pop-up camper was just right. Negatives: the host was rude. There were kids next to us who were late getting out and he was very rude to them. Also, no one comes around to clean up the sites after people check out. I don't understand why they make you check out at noon and new people can't check in until 2 if they're not cleaning the sites. There was all kinds of trash left behind and no one came to clean up. The other negative was the trash at the dumpsters. We got there Saturday afternoon and the dumpsters were already all pretty full then. By the time we left Sunday night the dumpsters were OVERFLOWING and there were bags of trash on the ground around the dumpsters too. The wind was blowing so the trash was blowing all over. Mostly it is a very nice campground and I recommend it. Just be sure you're out by noon or you'll get yelled at. We camped at Millerton Lake State Recreaton Area in a Tent Trailer.

The campground is beautiful, very well maintained. Sites are large and bathrooms are clean, even though they are pit toilets. However, if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful weekend, don't come here! The loud music and screaming from 2 different camp sites went on until 2 AM and loud rap music started again early in the morning. This was going on right across from the host so I'm not sure how they didn't hear it but nothing was done until the next day when we complained. I wish they were as diligent about enforcing the rules as they are about explaining them to you when you check in! Some people seem to care absolutely nothing about other people. This is a party place. Do not come here to relax. We camped at Dora Belle in a Tent Trailer.
Lake is very close with boating, swimming and fishing.

We stayed here in site #8 in a pop-up camper. First the positives: the view from the camp site is gorgeous! It overlooks a lake that is only for fishing with no noisy boats or jet skis. There is a nice little store nearby too. The negatives: it has vault toilets that are filthy and stink. No one cleaned them all weekend. If you have a camper, be prepared to park just off the main road where people park their cars and carry all your stuff to and from the camp site. Where you have to park your camper is RIGHT next to the toilet so people are walking right past your camper all night long to and from the toilet. Also, there is no host around to enforce rules and check on people. Some things we experienced as a result were an un-leashed pit bull running around barking, people riding a very loud 4-wheeler all over the campground at all hours, someone hammering something starting at 6:00 am, an illegal camper who just pitched a tent in a place that wasn't a site. There seemed to be a lot of trash around too. We walked around Saturday picking it up. This site would be better for tent camping. This site would be better for tent camping. We camped at Wishon Reservoir Lily Pad Campground in a Tent Trailer.
