Pioneer Trails RV Park, Anacortes, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Heard good things about this RV park so we made our reservation. I'm glad that we did, it's a beautiful place and was the perfect way to make sure that we were able to catch the morning ferry to Vancouver Island. I agree with others who said it reminds them of a state park instead of a commercial facility. Great location for Deception Pass, Whidbey Island, and the ferry to Victoria. Large, level space between beautiful old trees. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Really, the only negative thing was the great number of low flying Navy jets overhead, but then again, the cost of freedom... My only caution would be to those who would annoyed or bothered by the constant air traffic. Military jets are usually VERY loud, and when they're coming in 2 minutes apart (well into the night/early morning) it can make for a very restless night. We camped at Pioneer Trails RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Deception Pass and Whidbey Island are a short drive away. Also a perfect place to stay before boarding the Washington State Ferry to Canada.

Betabel RV Park, San Juan Bautista, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

If you find yourself in this general area then you should checkout this RV park. We highly recommend it, even though we're not big on the "rv park" setting with 100+ other RVs. It's very clean, very quiet, and the staff was very pleasant to deal with. Perhaps the best thing was that they were the only RV park in the area who didn't double and triple their rates for the Garlic Festival! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again. We camped at Betabel RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
