Branson Lakeside RV Park, Branson, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Great location for a stay in Branson--located just south of Branson Landing with a trolley stop in the park that takes visitors throughout old Branson and to Branson Landing for free. Right on Lake Taneycomo--nearly under the bridge to Hollister. We had a lakeside site with one small shade tree on our site. Not much grass. RVs are close together--but we had full hook-ups and a great view of the lake. Nice dog park. Hard surfaced roads through the campground. Helpful campground hosts. Sites further from the lake had lots of shade. Not a campground with lots of space to relax, but serves the visitor to Branson very well. Also provides a nearby boat dock, walking and bike trails and the Bass Pro shop is only a couple blocks away. Relatively quiet at night even though it was so close to Branson Landing and a busy road. We camped at Branson Lakeside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Great access to Branson Landing and to sites such as School of the Ozarks, Top of the Rock, and the southern side of Table Rock Lake without ever having to deal with the heavy traffic in Branson proper or the "strip". The location is the best part of this campground. Easy to by-pass the traffic jams common to the Branson area. Excellent advice and tips provided by hosts in the office.

Lake of the Ozarks State Park, Kaiser, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great state park--perfect for families. Lots of play space, good playground, a swimming beach, trails, etc. We have stayed here for many 3-5 day get-togethers with family. Always have plenty of room for extended family get-togethers. Usually stay near the water and fish right from our site. Lots of shade--so a good place to be on hot Missouri summer days. The only thing that would make it better would be to have water and sewer at each site. We camped at Lake of the Ozarks State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is about 20 min. from stores and shopping. Wise to stock up before getting to camp. Does have a small camp store for ice, fire wood and basic groceries.

Shower rooms are well cared for--cleaned morning and night. Good water pressure, plenty of warm water. Nice parking area at each one if you don't want to walk to the shower rooms.

Mozingo Lake Recreation Park, Maryville, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in this city owned, rather new, park in nearly 100 degree weather in late June. It was our first visit to the park and we were highly impressed; immaculate, large shower rooms, paved parking spots with electric and water right at the water's edge, nice playground, boat docks near our RV site, younger shade trees, nice size sites and just a few miles from a town with adequate shopping and restaurants. Really a great place to just relax, fish, swim, play golf and do some boating if you have a boat. In other words--a great vacation spot for families. We camped at Mozingo Lake Recreation Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Winds off the lake can be an issue sometimes. Don't go away from campsite for the day with awnings out. Large WalMart and numerous restaurants in town--just a few miles away. Great place out in farm country in NW Missouri to just relax.
