All About Relaxing RV Park, Theodore, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice quiet overnight stop. It is a small gated park with primarily long term campers. It is very tidy and clean. The sites are close to another, but the backins have grass yards behind them. The road is paved, in excellent condition. The sites are gravel and level. There is a reasonably sized, fenced, packed dirt dog run. There is also a strip of grass the length of the campground where onleash walking is permitted. We would return. We camped at All About Relaxing RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a wonderful overnight stop -- paved, level, quiet, lots of beautifully maintained grass for dog walking. The 2.5 mile drive off the highway was worth it. We camped at A+ Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Antonio / Alamo KOA, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. The sites are level and not too close together. The trains and highway were not a noise problem. The campground was in the midst of resurfacing the roads when we were here, so a lot was closed off. We were put on the other side of this 40 acre campground from the fenced dog run, so it was quite a long walk to get there. There is a very nice walking/bike path. There are a lot of grassy areas along the path and in the campground and they all need mowing. All in all, a pleasant place to stay. We camped at San Antonio / Alamo KOA in a Motorhome.

Hilltop RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is an adequate overnight spot. It is a packed dirt/gravel parking lot on a hill. The spots are level and easy to enter/exit. Very dusty. There is a small grass fenced dog run, and a grass strip abutting it for on leash walks. We camped at Hilltop RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. The spots are level but small. Most sites do not have picnic tables because there's no room. There is good landscaping to give some privacy between spots though. There are 2 long narrow fenced gravel dog areas and several small grassy areas for on leash walking. It was very clean and, although there appear to be many long term campers , it is all very tidy. We would return. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park, particularly if you have a dog. It has sites with fenced little lawns, as well as a huge fenced dog run and small dog walk areas scattered all over the park. There are solar panels down 2 aisles which provide shade for the resident rvs as well as for anyone walking down the road. Many sites are landscaped for privacy. We would definitely return. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Cava Robles, Paso Robles, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest rv park we've stayed in, which is saying a lot over 12 years! The park and the sites are well laid out. The roads are wide and paved. There are lots of amenities, enough so that "resort" really does describe it. There are fenced dog runs with thick grass, lots of walking paths, little dog park areas, and lovely desert landscaping. It is clean, quiet, an easy drive to downtown and has lovely views. My only quibble is that it should have more dumpsters for convenience (but they were never too full) . I would have liked one of the view spots with a big tree. It's so pleasant sitting outside. We would definitely return. We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

Napa Valley Expo RV Park, Napa, California

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, quiet campground in a great location (as long as you're not there just after the county fair). The spots are paved and level. There is lots of grass for dog walking. My biggest complaint as a dog owner is the number of feral cats roaming around particularly after dusk. That said, we would definitely return. We camped at Napa Valley Expo RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA, Petaluma, California

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $110.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very busy campground - more like a small city that you camp in. It is amazing how well maintained it is considering the volume of people and pets. Our end site was across from the office and had dumpsters on it. When the wind was right, we had the odor from the animals at the petting zoo. Although the grass is watered every night, around the RV it is just packed dirt which turns muddy after the watering. However, these sites are larger, more private, and more shaded than the ones at the top of the hill. If I returned, I'd try for a spot at the other end of the row from the office - much quieter and grassier. There are lots of places to walk dogs, but there are so many other dogs and children on bikes that caution is required at all times. The campground is in a very convenient location for exploring Sonoma's wine country, so we'd return. We camped at San Francisco North / Petaluma KOA in a Motorhome.

Desert Rose RV Park, Fernley, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice overnight spot, worth the 4 mile drive from the highway. The sites are paved and level with a grass strip. They are short though. There is a fenced dog run which is packed dirt and quite spacious. In addition, there are on-leash potty walks on both sides of the campground. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The whole campground appears nicely maintained. We would return. We camped at Desert Rose RV Park in a Motorhome.

Elko RV Park At Ryndon, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is not really a campground; it's a long term resident trailer park. It's a large gravel parking lot with loose dogs running around who clearly don't pick up after themselves. (One tried to get into our rv. ) As others noted, there is lots of stuff lying around. It is close to the highway and railroad, which blasted its horn at 6am. The site is level but the septic is at the far front and far back. We would not return ... ever. We camped at Elko RV Park At Ryndon in a Motorhome.

Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA , Arco, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice, quiet camground, close to Craters of the Moon NM. The staff was very helpful when I requested a change to the spot they'd assigned us. There is a fenced dog area with some miniature agility equipment in it. There are open areas for on leash dog walking. There is a pretty view and level sites. We'd return. We camped at Craters of the Moon / Arco KOA in a Motorhome.

Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground, Wilson, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $135.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground but definitely not a resort. Our spot was level and spacious, the gravel roads are well graded, and everything is well maintained. Although there is no enclosed dog run, there is a strip of grass and trees around the perimeter of the entire campground with well spaced baggies and cans. They're serious about keeping your dog on leash. Although the campground is only 5 miles from Jackson, depending on traffic , it can take anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes. The campground is very pricey, but it's a good location and the staff is very nice. We camped at Fireside Resort - Jackson Hole Campground in a Motorhome.

Wind River RV Park, Riverton, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stop en route to Grand Tetons NP. For that, it worked -- easy to get to, level, big enough site so we didn't have to disconnect. Our neighbor's slide almost touched ours. The whole park is packed dirt and stone with a few sad trees and brush. Fortunately it hadn't been raining. The areas designated as "dog walk" is just more of the same, only smellier. The owner is very nice and the wifi works very well. We camped at Wind River RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a lovely park! The spots are huge, paved, level and far away from neighboring sites. There is lots of well mown grass, and trees. It is close to the road, yet quiet. No off leash dog park, but very nice walking. We camped at Robidoux RV Park in a Motorhome.
