Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park, McLure, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

On the 'very good' side of campgrounds that are stop overs while on the road. Tiny bit of road and train noise. Very helpful staff/owners. We were in Kamloops area for a wedding and ended up staying 5 days. As others have mentioned, the laundry room is small but we took a chair to sit and read, so no biggie. We were in the spots above the washroom/shower/laundry house so we had electric and sewer and water.

There is a mix of sites, some full services, some primitive.

The high point each day was taking the grand kids to feed the chickens at the north end of the campground. there was plenty for the kids to do, playground, sandbox, climbing equipment, play house, etc.

I would stay again.

Take a carpet/mat because the sites are in the trees and you can track a lot of sticks and gravel into your trailer unless you can leave your shoes outside. (This is normal for us but we see a lot of campers not prepared and they get frustrated. We wouldn't want to stay in a pavement and concrete site but some people expect a site like that, I think.)

I would suggest to the owner to install another washer and dryer if only to earn more income from the laundry.

The dump station was free for everyone.

The serviced sites are set up so that the trailers will be back to back so every other site will have a down hill (west) view or a up hill (east) view.

I think the down hill west view was better. We camped at Pinegrove Campgrpund and R.V. Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

A fruit stand about 3kms north at mclure ferry road.

The town of Barriere to the north is closer than Kamloops and the AG grocery store is very good. It's on Barriere town road, a right turn off hwy 5
