Yellowstone Park / West Gate KOA, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $87.00
Overall Rating:

Disappointed in the restroom facilities for the price. Lots of amenities on property, and beautiful grounds, but the showers were cold all three days for four people. Camp spots are weird, for a small trailer and a big truck we had tight parking where they put us. Yet neighbors beside us had a small trailer and a car with enough room to park for two vehicles. Not very thought out, and for the same price. Wouldn't stay here again, whole experience was so-so. We camped at Yellowstone Park / West Gate KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, $13 a head for a two day adult pass. Predatory birds, many different bears and six wolves, some of which were extinct for many of the last century.

Spruce Lake RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice staff, helpful to get you into each site easily, we had a back-in but the host moved a picnic table so we could pull through. Beautiful spot on the river, great mountain view. Not many shaded spots where we were, but the sounds of the stream were very peaceful. Trash pick up twice a day due to bear activity, close to downtown for attractions. We camped at Spruce Lake RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Jeep tours were great, beautiful downtown with lots of shopping and food choices. Recommend doing grocery shopping before you get here, the grocery store around the corner is expensive and not clean or well stocked.

Fairmont RV Park, Anaconda, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very roomy place, we weren't in like sardines. Not many trees, but a great mountain view. Restrooms were great, you can tell the staff really takes care to clean well. Always warm water during our three day stay. Very friendly staff, office stays open 8-8 which is very convenient. Wifi didn't work for us, but it's nice to be disconnected for a change! We camped at Fairmont RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a resort next door which allows swimming, we didn't use. City of Anaconda which is about 12 miles out, has grocery and fast food. We drove up to Crystal Springs to hunt sapphires, about a 45 min drive.
