Wildwood Lot Owners Association (Members Only), Steedman, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

To start on a positive note, the woman who runs the office was very nice and helpful. Also, my husband used the bathhouse facilities and said they were good and clean. It is a private lot-owners property, but has a few camping spots. We discovered it online via our Passport America membership, so the $13 price was good. However, getting to and from this property with a motor coach is very difficult. Rough, narrow and windy roads. The sites are unlevel and the grounds are in in need of maintenance. We drove through the section for lot-owners and were shocked at how very run-down it is. Very old units set up, deteriorating and the whole area is junky. We were not given a list of campground rules and it's obviously because they have no rules or standards. The gates are locked and we were not given codes to go or come, which is a uncomfortable. Lastly, there is absolutely NO cell phone data coverage or signal. I hate to write a bad review, but I recommend avoiding this place. We camped at Wildwood Lot Owners Association (Members Only) in a Motorhome.

Wagon Master RV Park, Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Wagon Master provided a great place to stay and interesting with the alpaca farm! From my initial contact to reserve to amending our reservation through the check-in process, the lady in the office was very helpful and pleasant. The first evening we took our visiting pre-teen cousins to feed the alpaca and the gentleman who oversees the petting and feeding was equally as nice and great with the kids. The 2nd day I awoke not feeling well and needed a down day, so I called to ask for an extra day. She had to do some maneuvering, but kindly worked it out so we could stay on the same lot. We highly recommend a stay here! We camped at Wagon Master RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

History Buffs - be sure to visit Dealy Plaza and the Book Depository where JFK was shot. an easy drive into Dallas. Denton is a nice town for amenities such as drug store, restaurant and anything most cities offer. We ate Mexican at the Mazatlan restaurant there and it was delicious.

Stone Mountain Park, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This was a beautiful Campground! Very clean and large sites. We were fortunate to get a lakeside lot. Free shuttle to the Stone Mountain attraction. Note: You will have to pay a one-time $15 parking fee to get into and park at the campground. We had a 50% discount with Passport America. Regular price was $56 per night. Worth it, though! We camped at Stone Mountain Park in a Motorhome.

Lake Sara Campground, Effingham, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a rustic campground and especially designed for lake activities. It's very quiet and scenic. The sites are large and fairly level. Staff was great to deal with and helped us to our site and back-in. Lots of trees, which we love. Family-friendly. We camped at Lake Sara Campground in a Motorhome.
