Little Creek Casino and Resort, Shelton, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night. Spots a little close together, probably tough for a big rig to park, but doable. Grassy clean spots, but no trees for shade. Amenities fine, good Wi-Fi signal. Adjoins Casino, so the swimming pool, many food buffets, etc. are probably appealing to some. We were just transiting during a busy holiday season and looking for a place to spend a night. This suited the bill admirably. We camped at Little Creek Casino and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Casino, of course, for those who like to gamble. Taylor Shellfish is just a couple of miles up the road where you can get "catch of the day" oysters, clams, etc. Well worth visiting their small company store if you like fresh seafood.

Cape Disappointment State Park, Ilwaco, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is a state park. As such, it doesn't have the amenities of lots of parks. But, good source of water, power, and sewer hook up. No Wi-Fi, but it is worth it. The sites are lined with pine trees, very private, with each site large and well separated. You are just a stone's throw off the beach and easy drive into Ilwaco and Long Beach. We love staying here. We camped at Cape Disappointment State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Lewis and Clark Museum nearby, as well as the light house. And, Long Beach is interesting for its shops, long open expanses of beach and a number of fine restaurants. Our favorite close by is the 42nd St. Cafe.

Sea and Sand RV Park, Depoe Bay, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Great location right off the beach with unimpeded view of the ocean. This park is all about the view, not a lot of park amenities as such. But, great wi-fi, one of the best we've had anywhere with easy access. Conveniently located near Depoe Bay. We camped at Sea and Sand RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Sea Perch RV Resort, Yachats, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed two nights, right above the beach with panoramic view of the ocean. Small park with excellent clubhouse, cooking facilities, restrooms, showers, pool table, games area, etc. Very charming. This is really a place to sit and view the ocean, either for some summer tranquility or a good winter storm. We camped at Sea Perch RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon, Coburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed as part of a fairly large group of 13 RVs in Eugene for four days. They provided us with a nice large tent for our meetings and dinners. I want to like this park, but couldn't. It is clean and neat. But...it is right up against I-5 Interstate with no sound or visual buffers at all. Noisy all night long. And, we depend on Wi-Fi which had a fairly good signal but so little bandwidth that we couldn't even communicate with our email. And, with T-Mobile, we had no cellular coverage, so no communications with the outside world. Another park across the freeway at least has a tree buffer between it and the freeway. Perhaps choose it? We camped at Premier RV Resorts of Eugene Oregon in a Travel Trailer.

Crown Villa RV Resort, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest full service parks we have visited. Spots are spacious, about 50' wide, with grass and trees on either side, and a very nice concrete block screening barrier around the utilities, so you are not looking at neighboring hook ups. Swimming pool, spa, exercise rooms, fire pits, barbecues, tennis, etc. We did not give this a 10 because Wi-Fi is very important to us, and their signal was slow to none at all. (Seems with the many users now on Wi-Fi at these parks, any system short of a dedicated feed at each spot is not going to get you much internet capacity.) They did offer a dedicated separate internet feed in their office area, which is nice (we didn't use it, can't comment on how much better it would have been.) We would stay here again, but not if we had to work and depend on internet access. T-Mobile signal was very weak and we could not get LTE or 4G at this location. We camped at Crown Villa RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Portland Fairview RV Park, Fairview, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean, quiet and well managed park just outside Portland with convenient bus transportation into Portland if one chooses rapid transit. It is conveniently located near Sandy and the highway to Redmond and Bend, Oregon. If you are like us and really need Wi-Fi, this Park's system is both confusing and marginal for pick up. If you are an Apple device user, this system is not the best. We have downgraded this park purely based on the less than adequate Wi-Fi system. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Crossroads RV Park, Mount Pleasant, Iowa

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park seems fairly new. Basically an open area with well organized drive through stalls. But, no shade at all. They are starting to grow some trees, but it will take many years before they offer any shade to the sites. We camped at Crossroads RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Lincoln RV Park, Lincoln, Kansas

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

City-run small park adjacent to city park. Check in during normal hours at City Hall. Very friendly staff, no staff on RV site itself. Wonderful old trees, seldom used City Park (Lincoln, unfortunately, has dwindled in population like many small Kansas farming towns). Charming old stone band stand adjacent to RV stalls. Enough room between stalls. Several longer-term RVers so if you want to use this as a stopping off place, as we did, you need to contact the city well ahead of time to make sure they have spaces. One of a kind small town place to stay in the middle of wheat country. We camped at Lincoln RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
