Richardson Park, Junction City, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Richardson's on more than one occasion. We have always enjoyed this park. The staff is friendly and helpful; it's clean; and it has a variety of amenities including the lake, movies and playground for the grandkids as well as walking trails. A bonus is the dump station right at the park. The only drawback can be the mosquitoes. It's a hit and miss kind of thing but when they are their it's not a good thing. In general, we truly enjoy this park and will be back again...soon. We camped at Richardson Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Waterloo County Park, Lebanon, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

My family and I have camped at Waterloo for over 30 years. It "was" a beautiful park with hiking trails, swimming hole, bike trail, dog park, pavilions for special events, and great camp sites. So it was so disappointing to see how much it has changed. There were several "homeless" sites in both A and B loop with barely livable campers surrounded with piles of who knows what and dogs, cats, and even a guinea pig! What was interesting is that even the three camp hosts appeared to be part of this transient group! The first day we were there our neighbor threatened to shoot a camper across the street for complaining about his barking dog. I reported it and he was evicted but it was a tense moment witnessed by my two grandsons. The second day I walked into the shower and there were cigarette butts in the stall and, in general, not clean. I agree with others who have pleaded to get this park cleaned up and return it to the family friendly beautiful park it once was. We camped at Waterloo County Park in a Fifth Wheel.
