Beaver KOA, Beaver, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Great KOA. Easy access. The interior roads are wide and gravel. The sites are gravel. Our site had a stone patio with picnic table and fire ring. Cable was included. Didn't attempt satellite. The site was long enough so we didn't have to unhook. There was no road noise. There is a dog walk area on grass and a K9 Kamp for off leash play. Swimming pool in season, playground and what appeared to be a smallish basket ball court. There is also a game room. We will stat here again when we come through the area. We camped at Beaver KOA in a Motorhome.

Tri-Mountain RV Park, Ridgefield, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The draw back on this park is the road noise. The park is asphalt with green space between spaces. The WiFi was excellent. Something must have happened about a dog attack outside of the park concerning the long term residents and a short term resident. There are dog walk areas inside the park and off leash outside. The interior roads are easy to navigate. The spaces are tight. A parking space was provided for my tow on my site. I disconnected. We camped at Tri-Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Countryside RV Park, LLC, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Great park. WiFi was excellent. Gravel pads and interior roads. Grass between sites. A good dog walk area. Satellite reception was good. Checkin was easy. Long enough so I didn't have to unhook. Just far enough off the highway to not hear the noise. About 1/2 mile. Would stay here again. We camped at Countryside RV Park, LLC in a Motorhome.

Desert Gem RV Resort, Oliver, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a Class A motorhome. Assigned to a backin lot. The lot was barely long enough for my motorhome. My tow was partially blocking my neighbors as they were mine. There was only about 2 feet separating the different motorhomes. Now the good news. The entrance and exit are excellent. There is 50 amp service and cable tv. Also two dog waste stations, but no dog walk area on property. There is some grass, but mostly asphalt. The staff is very friendly. The park is well maintained. I would stay here again. We camped at Desert Gem RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Clearwater / Wells Gray KOA, Clearwater, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

The location is excellent for touring Wells Grey Park. Satellite reception on our site was excellent. But that was not every site. Early mornings till late afternoon the WiFi signal and bandwidth was outstanding. When the park fills up, the bandwidth goes away. There is a dog area, but keep your dogs out unless you want tree sap. The interior roads are gravel along with the sites. The sites are just long and wide enough for a Class A. The speed bumps are too high and close together for a large Class A motorhome. There is a store and pool. The automatic gate closes at night and then reopens in the morning. A code is provided. A fire ring and picnic table is provided. The sites are level. There is even a miniature golf area. We would stay here again. We camped at Clearwater / Wells Gray KOA in a Motorhome.

Hinton / Jasper KOA, Hinton, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

I'm torn about the rating. It's been raining and the ground is soaked, people are cutting all corners short and then sinking in the wet ground. When the weather is great, this could be an excellent location. The park does have an enclosed dog park with activities for the dogs. Plus an excellent dog walk area. There is a central fire pit that is covered. The interior roads and pads are gravel and easy to navigate. There is cable and it's so so. Satellite is available. WiFi is available and bandwidth almost nonexistent. The pads are gravel and mostly level. A playground is on site. I had a pull through and instead of pulling out and driving in the wet mud, I backed out onto the dry gravel. It was easier. This is a Holiday KOA and this time just wasn't sure. I would stay here again. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The KOA web site for this park was a challenge. I have a 45 ft motorhome and had to cut the length down to 36 ft to reserve a pad that was 70 to 80 ft in length. There were numerous Class A's since this a stop along the route to Alaska.

The Canyon RV Resort on Sinclair Creek, Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

It's down a canyon. This is from a prospective of a 45 ft motorhome. The interior roads are paved. They are only about 1 ft wider than the coach. There is enough room at the intersections. The pads are gravel and level. Each lot has hard rubber pavers. The lots are wide, deep, with grass, picnic tables, and fire pit. The tree branches can be trimmed. I didn't locate a enclosed dog area. Cable TV is provided and you can receive a satellite signal. They advertise WiFi, but don't count on a strong signal or adequate band width. Verizon was okay. The sitting was tranquil. There is a creek running through the property. It was raining so therefore there were bugs. I had a half circle pull through, but a back-in would just be as good. I didn't have to disconnect. We would stay again if in the area. The tree branches could use some trimming along the roads. We camped at The Canyon RV Resort on Sinclair Creek in a Motorhome.

Portland Fairview RV Park, Fairview, Oregon

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This park is more concerned about grass than anything else. The one good thing is the WiFi is excellent. The pads are level and only just large enough for a modern big rig with slides and full size tow vehicle. They have painted the rocks and posts since I was there last. The pads are narrow. At least the interior roads are almost wide enough with the curbs to maneuver with a tow. Cable TV is basic and satellite reception good. It does have easy access on and off I84. Portland city traffic is another issue. The long term residents are migrating to the short terms (overnight guests) area. In a few years this park will be only for long term residents. There isn't a dog park, nor dog waste station or bags. I'm not sure the grass is even being watered where the dogs are being walked. With the resort fee being charged for a few years now, a few things should have been improved for the overnight guests. There are a limited number of RV parks in the area. Most cater to the long term resident. If I can't stay anywhere else, I will stay at another park. If not, then I guess I'll return. At least nothing was stolen this time. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Port of Newport RV Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Another excellent stay. The WiFi is fantastic. The pads are level, with enough space between sites to run the slides out walk between the sites. There isn't a dog park, but many dog waste stations and areas to walk your dog. The views are great. Cell phone service is excellent, satellite friendly and cable tv provided. Some of the sites just fit your rig and tow vehicle. Yes, we will stay here again. We camped at Port of Newport RV Park in a Motorhome.

Columbia Riverfront RV Park, Woodland, Washington

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is an excellent park on the Columbia River. The pads are gravel with wide interior roads which are asphalt. The pull thru site was long, level and wide. There are areas to walk your dog with dog waste stations. Plus a play ground and other outside games. Cable is offered and the sites are satellite friendly. Just remember to follow the guidelines for the sewer hose. Make sure you have extensions for utilities if you want to pull to the very edge of the front of the pad. The utilities are towards the end. We will stay here again. We camped at Columbia Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cove Palisades State Park (Deschutes Campground), Culver, Oregon

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This camp ground is big rig accessible. It is 8 miles to the nearest town. There is a bridge over the reservoir that becomes one lane with a big rig. The weight limits are 25 ton 2 axles and 45 ton 3 axles. I did unhook the tow vehicle at the top campground. But I did see another rig keep its tow hooked up. The cell service for Berizon is Extended 1X and does come in and out. My site had excellent satellite reception. The site was back in, 50 amp, full hook up. The pad was level and long enough for the coach and tow. The width is a little narrow. There is a little camp store. For big rigs, skip the pull thru's. Most are semi circular or the few that are straight aren't level. The grounds are well kept and the volunteers are very helpful. You will have to drive back down to the reservoir. I would stay here again. We camped at Cove Palisades State Park (Deschutes Campground) in a Motorhome.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I didn't give this park a 5 star is because the sites are packed gravel. But the pads are level, long, easy in and out, wide interior roads, and the spaces are wide. We stayed in Nov so the grass was in hibernation, but looks well cared for. The cable TV is readily available. There are a number of long pull thrus that are big rig friendly. We will stay at this park again when we pass thru the area. All the picnic tables have a concrete pad. Each site has solar powered lights. There are at least 3 or 4 dog walk areas with waste bags. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Seven Feathers RV Resort, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This review is for an overnight stay. The value is not there for an overnight stop. For traveling, if we stop in this location again, we will stay in the dry camping lot. The good news is you can obtain a discount for using their players club card. The fuel prices were the best in the area. There is a free shuttle to the casino. Free cable is provided along with an enclosed dog park. There is also an enclosed pool and hot tub. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Whiskey Flats RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

What can you say that hasn't been said. For the price it's a great overnight stop. Concrete pads with gravel sites. For this price, it's less expensive overall than spending a night dry camping at the casino. Large area to walk your dogs if you have any. Over the air TV is also possible. The location is excellent with easy on off of US 95. Can accomdiate a big rig. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Motorhome.

American Trails RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located close to everything. The lot that was originally booked was occupied. The next site offered was not big rig friendly. The 3site was big rig friendly. The site was not totally level, but close enough that there wasn't any issues. All the sites were gravel with full hookups. There was free WiFi provide, but the office didn't provide the code and I just forgot to ask. Cell service was slow, but the town was packed with people. We had to pre-pay for our site more than 6 months ahead of time. There is a manager on site. No dog park. A sign indicated live music except for the period I was staying. We camped at American Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.
