Date of Stay:
November, 2018 -

Overall Rating:
This is one of our favorite campgrounds and we always stop in here when in the area. Well kept campground, large site, concrete pads, good hookups, mowed grass between sites. Close to commissary and NEX. Highly reccommend this base campground. We camped at Aviation Arbor RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

Poche's RV Park, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana
Date of Stay:
November, 2018 -
$23.00
Overall Rating:
We've stayed here many times and that should tell it all. The only problem and not the fault of the park is that the roads have come apart. Faulty construction followed by a law suit. They soon will be repaved. We camped at Poche's RV Park in a Motorhome.
Stock up on Cajun meat at Poche's meat market.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Overall Rating:
Couldn't believe this was a Passport America Park. So NICE! We stayed only one night traveling through but would stay longer next time. Nice concrete slab, roads, patio. The nicest PPA we've ever been in. Will return if ever in the area. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.
Easy off easy on I-10 but far enough to where there is no high-way noise.

Braunig Lake RV Resort, Elmendorf, Texas
Date of Stay:
November, 2018 -
$26.00
Overall Rating:
NARROW NARROW NARROW - the sites are SO narrow that we had to duck under our neighbors slide-out in order to get to our Jeep. Forget your awning! Ridiculous!! Other than that, It was OK and served our purpose. Never again! The ole Grey Poupon joke is not a joke here. It is real. Forget asking for a picnic table - no room on the tiny 'patio' We camped at Braunig Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Quail Crossing RV Park, Woodway, Texas
Date of Stay:
November, 2018 -
$36.00
Overall Rating:
The Good, Bad and the ugly... The Good: The owner, mgr who checked us in was wonderful. Nice as could be and very helpful. The park served our purpose. Full hook up 50 amp. The Bad: We were in site 75 on the gravel road. Cars and trucks on the noisey gravel road less than 10 feet from our bedroom window. Awakened numerous times. The gravel was actually rocks that one could break an ankle on. No picnic table, no patio, couldn't sit out. Grass/weeds needed mowing. The road in (AND Out) had tank traps in it. Located in the boonies. Cannot reccommend this park to anyone. Would never stay again. It is for long term people that don't expect much. The best part other than the front office lady was we had a roadrunner that lived in the bush next to us. It was fun to watch the bird and his quirky habits. We camped at Quail Crossing RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sullivan's Mobile Home And RV Park, Pocatello, Idaho
Date of Stay:
July, 2018 -
$15.00
Overall Rating:
Stayed one night. Only RV space have ever felt unsafe in. An old derelict trailer park and owner trying to make a few extra bucks. Would never ever stay overnight again. Don't go at $15 for electric only, not worth it. In Pass Port America 1/2 price of $30. Worse PPA RV site ever. We camped at Sullivan's Mobile Home And RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hide-A-Way Lakes Campground, Ashtabula, Ohio
Date of Stay:
May, 2018 -
$42.00
Overall Rating:
This is by no means a $42 per night RV Park; at most a $25. It is a very basic park with w/30/50/s. No cable, no wi-fi. Roads are narrow gravel and sites are gravel. We would never stay here again primarly because of the price. One is paying a lot more and not getting much in return. We camped at Hide-A-Way Lakes Campground in a Motorhome.

Ocala National Forest / Salt Springs Rec Area, Fort McCoy, Florida
Date of Stay:
April, 2018 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
Beautiful Country Club looking entry, paved roads, 30/50 amp electric, water, sewer, paved long sites with mowed green grass between them. The sites are so huge that 2 would be 3 in a commercial campground. They say there is no cell phone coverage but we have 2 bars on our Verizon. They keep the trees trimmed up so there is no worry of scratching the sides of your RV and we are able to pick up Dish. Didn't use but checked out the woman's bath house. Very nice modern 3 showers with private doors with a bench for shower gear. 3 commodes one being handicap as was one of the three showers. The beautiful Salt Springs is just a stone's throw for swimming and snorkeling. Lake George is nearby for fishing. With the Golden Age pass it is only $19.50 per day or for you young wipper snappers it is $31.50 a day. Still cheap compared to commercial parks! We camped at Ocala National Forest / Salt Springs Rec Area in a Motorhome.

Gravel un-level. Too narrow of an area to actually use. Enough room between sites but muddy clay ditch between sites. Sorry I signed up for two weeks. Cannot recommend and would never stay again. Camp site too far back in the toolies. No cable, no internet. Only one bar on Verizon and Jet Pack has problem. We camped at Green Mountain Park Resort in a Motorhome.

Illinois State Fair Campgrounds, Springfield, Illinois
Date of Stay:
September, 2013 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
The sewer sites require a very long sewer hose as the sewers are all in the far rear. Extremely close sites. Two large motor homes with slide-outs extended would be hard pressed to not touch one another. We did not stay as we have only a 20' sewer hose and 4 slides. We camped at Illinois State Fair Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

Meadow Wood RV Park and Campground, Glendale, Oregon
Date of Stay:
September, 2012 -
$16.00
Overall Rating:
This is the absolute worst campground we have ever encountered. It is trashy, the electric didn't work and it was full of vagrant types getting drunk. We got back into our motorhome and left back out on the dusty gravel road and it has take my husband 3 days to get the dust off. I've had to dust everything in the MH. Even $300,000 motorhomes leak when that much dust is blowing out from your diesel exhaust. We couldn't tell the color of our tow car. WARNING: Never ever go there. Shame shame on Passport America. We camped at Meadow Wood RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Fisherman's Cove RV Park at Lake Harris, Tavares, Florida
Date of Stay:
May, 2011 -
$1.00
Overall Rating:
Most of this campground consists of a very old "trailer park". The area we stayed was on a large concrete slab in the renovated part of the park - we had a full hookup with 50 amps. If the whole park was like the area we were in, it could be called a resort but as is, it is only a 4 out of 10 campground. There is an area to tie up your boat with lake access. There are no picnic tables. There is very little shade. The old campsites are on a hill and on shell pads. The campsites are not numbered on site. When we were here they told us to just pick out a site. We hooked up to their water but after tasting it, decided to use from our own tank. The staff was very nice and very friendly. I can see why they give two free nights... With a lot of work, they could live up to their claims on their website. The website shows the area we were in which does not accurately represent the majority of the park. We camped at Fisherman's Cove RV Park at Lake Harris in a Motorhome.

Mayflower County Park, Blythe, California
Date of Stay:
August, 2007 -
$18.00
Overall Rating:
This is a really nice County Park that is also a Pass Port America park. We paid only $9 for a 50 amp site with water. Beautiful green mowed grass, picnic tables. Shade trees. Huge park with hardly anyone in it. Right on the Colorado River. We will come back if ever in the area again. We camped at Mayflower County Park in a Motorhome.

Pendaries RV Resort, Rociada, New Mexico
Date of Stay:
June, 2007 -
$26.00
Overall Rating:
This park is almost 20 miles off the interstate in a beautiful mountainous location adjoining a National Forest. No cell phone and only site 1 & 2 can you pickup satellite. Clay/gravel interior roads that need grading. Covered picnic tables. Not very level for parking. Need a pressure regulator on the water line to your RV. The park sells lots for private RVs so there are permanent people/weekenders. Very cool nights, pleasant days. The night we stayed it was 39 degrees when we got up. A good summertime park to escape the heat. We camped at Pendaries RV Resort in a Motorhome.
