I was at RV Village in Mercer, PA tonight, visiting friends, and would like to take an opportunity to write a review of the park. Our friends were on site 105 (w/e). Their site was grassy, and dry ground with good run off. The 1-107 loops are W/E only, most of these sites are at least partially shaded, and provide ample room to accommodate large rigs. I think that these loops are an excellent area for a group camp out weekend. Whatsmore is that there are no permanent campers in these loops. If you need full hook ups though, the pull-thru sites are evenly numbered 172 through 192. These sites are partially shaded, but seem to be really close together. Today was a dry day and these sites show the effects of soil erosion. One year ago, I visited friends camping in these sites and recall that the ground was terribly muddy. The rest of the 109-260 loops appear to be permanent campers, complete with golf carts (tonight was the Golf Cart Poker Run) :roll eyes: There may be an occasional transient site available within. Rates seem simple enough. $22.00/night for Motorhomes and Trailers. $18.00/night for Pop Up campers. There is no extra charge for children. Moreover, there is no charge for visitors (unless staying overnight). The camp store only has essentials. But grocery store and RV dealer are only a few miles away. Late this afternoon the pool was full of people. The evening's activity was BINGO. After dark, was the Golf Cart Poker Run. My overall, personal impression is that RV Village is family friendly and family affordable. I would be very happy to camp in their 1-107 loop, and recommend these to my friends and anyone else looking to stay in Mercer, PA. We camped at RV Village Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Grove City / Mercer (Pennsylvania) KOA owner was very rude to his customer. Upon arrival Friday night with receipt in hand, I checked in at the office. I was presented with a cash register receipt and told to sign. I read the receipt and noted that it did not state that I had a zero balance. I showed my printed receipt from my internet payment explaining that I was prepaid and paid in full, and that I should not have to sign another slip. The owner spoke very curtly telling me "The signature is for liability, you'll sign the slip, or you'll leave." Well I did sign the slip with hesitation, and made a note of the owner's name and the manner in which he spoke to me. The rest of the weekend, he saw me 3 more times and never apologized for his very offensive tone. Instead of paying $42.00 per night for this KOA with a bad attitude, I recommend RV Village in Mercer. I called RV Village today and confirmed their rate of $22.00 per night full hook up, and no additional cost for children. We camped at Mercer / Grove City KOA in a Travel Trailer.
