Evergreen Shores RV Park, Port Orford, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Rate quoted is based on a weekly rate. This is a small park a couple of blocks off of Pacific Coast Highway (US 101). Though there are some seasonal or permanents, the park is well-maintained. The manager was very accommodating. Our site was adequate size for our 36-ft and medium-duty tow vehicle though it was not what I would call "spacious." We don't typically use campground bathrooms or showers so we can't comment on those. The only short-coming is that they don't accept credit cards - cash only. The cable required a converter box for which they hold a $100 cash deposit but once hooked up, it worked well and we had no problems getting our deposit refunded when we left. the WiFi (which is free) was excellent - fast and strong signal probably the best we've experienced in a campground. Overall our experience was very positive. We camped at Evergreen Shores RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Handy Haven RV Park, Waldport, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Rate quoted is based on weekly rate. This is a small RV park (fewer than 15 sites) wedged in between a local street and a rock bluff. But it's in a great location for exploring the area. Most sites are occupied by older seasonal or permanent units though they keep things reasonably tidy. Manager was very accommodating and friendly. He also manages the car wash that is at the north end of the property so he's on-site during business hours. Our site was adequate size for our 36-ft fifth wheel and medium-duty tow vehicle. 50 Amp power was good, WiFi okay for e-mail and light web surfing - forget streaming. Verizon signal not strong but usable. We camped at Handy Haven RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is right across the street from a pretty good pizza place and within easy walking distance of many of the shops in Waldport.
