Hwy 21 RV Park and Storage, Paige, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, quiet new RV park. Cows next door to RV park, made me feel like I was back in time to my childhood on the farm. Gravel roads and spacious sites. Large clean bathrooms. Large laundry room. Game room with pool table and arcade game machines. Dog park and good WiFi available. Dump station also available. The staff is very nice and helpful. We would stay here again. We stayed for 6 months. Monthly rate was $350 + electric. 10 miles from Bastrop. Just 30-45 min to Austin; near lake and state park. We camped at Hwy 21 RV Park and Storage in a Fifth Wheel.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed January 2017 to April 2017 for my work. It is right on the Pacific ocean. Beautiful views. Close walking distance to good food, post office, pharmacy and grocery store. Easy public transportation access into San Francisco. Park was clean and well maintained. Spots are narrow and long, not much room to sit outside your unit. Park is all asphalt. Constant water and sand all over everything since right on the water. Downside to staying for 3 months was the rust on things. Our bikes are currently at the shop getting a big over-haul due to the rust issues (yes they where covered). We would stay again, just not three months. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Hills RV Park, Beaumont, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for 3 months during the winter. Roads could use some work, some tight turns; under new management, they are working on landscaping (mostly desert area). Spots are gravel with a concrete patio. There are a lot of full time residents but all were very nice. Some of the run down RV's are being weeded out (I'm sure that takes time). Our spot was up on a hill, could get windy at times. Never any issues with the laundry services. Nice pool and hot tub. Others stated they didn't feel safe, we never had an issue with anyone there or in the area. We walked our dogs all through the nearby neighborhoods without any problems at all. My husband rode his bike to the nearby Walmart and grocery store. Several families in the park with kids; had a park Halloween party that was fun. Office staff friendly and helpful. No this is not a high dollar resort, but it is a nice and safe place to stay. I worked in San Bernardino so this was a good spot for us to have as a home base. We would stay again. We camped at Country Hills RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wilderness Lakes RV Resort, Mathis, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Actually stayed here for 3 months so our nightly rate, when broken down, is lower than normal. Quiet, not many activities going on during the summer months. They just put in a salt water pool. Small but refreshing. A lot of empty campers sitting empty waiting on the "winter Texans" to come back.

Many living here full time or are passing through workers like me. They appear to have many more activities during the winter months. There is a very large book exchange area. There are 2 laundry areas that are clean;however, they are slow to repair broken machines.

The grounds are pretty but not always maintained well. The driveway into the park is full of pot holes. The roads through out are supposed to be gravel but the gravel has worn away in allot of areas with just dirt remaining. So as you can imagine, everything is dusty. My husband's biggest gripe is that you can't wash your vehicle or camper unless you are a full-time resident. We have had to mow our own grass and spray for weeds because it was getting out of hand. They did have the equipment for us to sign out to do the grass but still we shouldn't have to do it ourselves.

They staff are pleasant and helpful. The WiFi you purchase through G-Tech which you can do for a month at a time. Works OK most of the time. We have a dish so TV was not a problem.

It is close to Lake Corpus Christi so good place to stay if you can't get a spot at the lake. All in all, we would stay here again. We camped at Wilderness Lakes RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Drifters RV Park, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Small RV park. Spaces close together. Road is paved, gravel sites with wooden patio. Mostly full time people living there. All sites are well kept. Owner very friendly and will steal your dog if you aren't careful! Just kidding, she will fatten them up with all her treats. The RV park is close to everything in Pensacola, a little further from the beach but not a terrible drive. Small bathrooms but clean. Small laundry room. No pool, playground or any other type of extras. A whole lot of cats roaming around but they caused no problems for us. The way I saw it was they kept all the vermin away! Everyone there is very friendly. We occasionally heard the train that passed nearby. And some Saturday nights we could hear the "thumping" from the music at a nearby night club. Neither of those things bothered us at all. We would certainly stay there again. We camped at Drifters RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
