Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good place for a one night stop on Route 81. We had a pull-through that was easy to get into with our 45 foot MH. They have cable and wifi. It's right off the highway. Our site was slightly unlevel but no major headache. We recommend. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Motorhome.

Gros Morne RV Campground, Rocky Harbour, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is basically a gravel parking lot situated in Gros Morne National Park. Everything works and it's a good location. We had no trouble getting our big rig in. You come here for the park not the RV park so it is perfectly sufficient. We camped at Gros Morne RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice park but we had trouble with overhanging trees and a site that wasn't level for our 45 foot rig. Nice golf course and beach. We camped at Mactaquac Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

All Done RV Camping, Newtown, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly hosts. We had a level spot on grass with 30 amp for 45' MH. Full hookup. Easy in and out back in. 10 miles from trans Canada highway in the middle of farmland where you wouldn't expect to find an RV park. An hour drive from the Bay of Fundy so a bit remote. But nice experience. We camped at All Done RV Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Wolfe Point at Bay of Fundy is a better place to observe tides than Hopewell Rocks, which is crowded and commercial. Dickson waterfall is beautiful.

Wolf Creek Run Class A Motorcoach Resort, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

This is an expensive park that doesn't offer a whole lot for the extra money. There is no pool. No hot tub. The fountains were turned off. The clubhouse is locked after office hours. It's a clean, nice place to park your rig -- that's about it. Wifi works fairly well. Cable had perhaps 10-15 usable channels. If I had it to do over, I would go elsewhere and save the money. We camped at Wolf Creek Run Class A Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Riverside RV Park, Canby, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

As noted, this is a parking lot with RV sites tightly packed. We had site 103 which is a pull through so we had no issue but other sites would have been difficult if not impossible for our 45' rig. Our neighbor's awning was two inches from our side. The positives are that the staff was friendly and helpful and the park has cable and sluggish but usable wifi. They were nice enough to let us check in early. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Canyon Alpine RV Park & Campground, Boston Bar, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

There are a lot of positives about this lovely little campground on Route 1 in the Fraser Canyon. The terraced sites are well-shaded and spacious. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and clearly are working hard to make their park even better. They provide cable, which is a plus. Most campgrounds don't. The Wifi works decently. They have full-hookups (30 amp). And the price is reasonable. If you are staying more than a day or two, Nahatlatch Provincial Park is beautiful, with a series of emerald blue lakes. It takes a bit of a drive down a gravel road to get there but it is worth it. On the other hand, the Hells Gate sky tram is overrated. We highly recommend this park. We camped at Canyon Alpine RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Wood Lake RV Park and Marina, Lake Country, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park was not what we expected based on the reviews. It is crowded, dusty, and difficult to navigate, especially for a big rig. To use an analogy, it is like a tenement for RVs. We had no view of the lake and were on top of our neighbors on both sides. It's relatively inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for. I would not call it big rig friendly. On the positive side, the Wifi worked better than expected. Perhaps there is 50 amp somewhere in the park but we got 30 amp. We camped at Wood Lake RV Park and Marina in a Motorhome.

Swan Lake RV Resort, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The pros are this is a clean well-landscaped park near to Vernon. The pool and hot tub are nice. The cons are that it was difficult to get our 45 foot rig into our site, the wifi was spotty except by the pool, and it was a bit sterile. It was mostly park models and didn't feel like an RV park. Kind of a forgettable place. We camped at Swan Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
