Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA, Silt, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Park is expanding and newer areas are almost ready to open up. The folks running the camp are great! Stayed 9 nights to take in Rifle Falls, Glenwood Springs Bike and Pedestrian Pathway, Aspen, and the countryside. The camp is on the Colorado River and has a boat ramp. The dog park is huge! When we were there, the pool was not open yet. I imagine most will find this to be an above average KOA only down-rated for noise from I-70 and the railroad. The noise is not too bad but it is there. Also, would be careful with children around the river. We camped at Glenwood Springs West / Colorado River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Misty's Coffee shop in Silt is great and has free wifi. There is a restaurant/bar and grill in downtown that we did not go to. Silt has a large open dog park east on the frontage road with trails and access to the river. Rifle Falls is a couple of miles north of silt and well worth the $7 fee the State Park charges. Take the time to walk, bike some or all of the Glenwood Springs Bike and Pedestrian Pathway that runs under and beside I-70 through Glenwood Canyon. This is a well maintained concrete path that does not disappoint. It is accessible at exit 119 and from all the rest areas off I-70. Aspen is a short drive away.

Goulding's Lodge & Campground, Oljato-Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Well run campground. Professionally managed by friendly people and well maintained. Roads are narrow but not difficult. We were in site C3 which was easy in easy out for our 40ft Montana and did not have to unhook. Beautiful views. We stayed one night and would come back for a longer visit. We camped at Goulding's Lodge & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Views RV Park & Campground, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in sight 40 with rear window facing Mesa Verde and Sleeping Ute Mountain. In the distance were the Four Corners. This was an exceptionally long site with new utility hook ups and lots of space to spread out in the Pine trees and enjoy the views. This is the first year for the new ownership and they have invested in new showers and bathrooms, pull thru sites, laundery room and more. Great people with super good service. Close to Mesa Verde NP (20 min) and Sleeping Ute Mountain Casino (20 min). McPhee Reservoir is right across the street with a full marina and a viewpoint not to miss. Couple of miles to Dolores with antique stores and restaurants. Internet is spotty. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at The Views RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hi-Way Haven RV Park, Sutherlin, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Clean well run park. Movies a couple of nights a week for park guests only, so it is nice and sound is over FM only. New asphalt roads, new concrete patios with furniture. Great dog areas with poop pick strictly enforced. Close to wineries (wine tastings are super). Close to I5. We stayed a week and visited the Oregon Coast, Crater Lake NP, and 8 wineries. Best shopping is in Roseburg about 10 miles down I5. We camped at Hi-Way Haven RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Valor Horse Facility is a small RV Park and horse facility at Hoback Junction in Jackson, Wyoming. 5 RV spots with 30 amp hookup on grass. Hot tub and fire pit on a nice deck. Water is available and sewer dump is available. Easy access to the Hoback river for fishing, kayaking, etc. and to the local bike paths.
