Renfrew / Ottawa West KOA, Renfrew, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park was manly seasonals in the trailer area but with a good number of short-stayers including ourselves. We stayed 12 nights while we toured the area. Quiet time after 11 was impeccably observed even on the August long weekend when every site was taken and loads of kids were around. Would stay here again. Staff were very helpful; my only complaint - as in so many sites - is that the wifi is incredibly bad. Nothing reached my site and even down by the office it took 30 minutes to upload a few pictures to Facebook. Surely it's about time to invest in some repeater stations around the park. Why do so many parks advertise Wifi and then not provide anything usable? Maybe KOA needs to set some kind of minimum standard that meets modern expectations. We camped at Renfrew / Ottawa West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Owen Sound KOA, Owen Sound, Ontario

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We also stayed on site #57 and had the same problem with the sewer hose. But as we only stayed a couple of nights it really wasn't a problem and we were able to dump the tanks by backing up just before we left. Beautiful site and the small lake is very photogenic. Nice and quiet site, large enough for our 30ft trailer and the truck. Will certainly be back. We camped at Owen Sound KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Country Charm Campground, Middlesex, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful quiet site within easy reach of the Finger Lakes region. Mostly seasonals but we were able to pick our site from several available for short-term stopovers. Sites were well placed so not on top of each other. Dump station on site. We don't have kids but it looked like there was plenty to keep families occupied. Be aware, they don't accept credit or debit cards so I had to pay cash, which in this day & age is very unusual. A word of warning when I booked would have been helpful. We camped at Country Charm Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Green Acre Park, Waterloo, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

First time we have stayed here and we will be delighted to come back again. We had a full service site and when we had a problem with the power supply the staff were there within 5 minutes to resolve it. For such a busy park it was quiet and peaceful, especially after dark. A great base for exploring this beautiful region. We camped at Green Acre Park in a Travel Trailer.

Roebuck Campground, Meaford, Ontario

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Our first trip out this year. The park is mainly seasonals but with some places left over for the overnight visitors such as ourselves. Very helpful owner who couldn't do enough for us. My only concern would be that when the park is full you're going to be very close to your neighbour, but at this time of year it was just fine. The site is well-kept, we had full service on ours, very quiet site as schools are not yet out. We camped at Roebuck Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nicolston Dam Campground & RV Park, Alliston, Ontario

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a couple of weeks after Labor Day so most of the campers were adults. Quiet, spacious sites, not crowded at this time of year and beautifully kept. Just be prepared for the trains running along nearby lines in the early morning. Wifi worked well enough for general browsing, email etc.

Will camp there again. We camped at Nicolston Dam Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Dressel's Jordan Valley Campground, Jordan, Ontario

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Our first time in a trailer so we were using this trip as a test. The lady in charge couldn't have been more helpful once she knew we were newbies. Organized a pull-through full-service site for us and generally offered assistance if we needed it.

Beautiful site, lots of seasonals, very quiet even though we were still in school vacation season. We camped at Dressel's Jordan Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.
