Apache Palms RV Park, Tempe, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We needed a place for the night on our way back to Texas to visit with family and this was close to them. City RV park with permanent residents, clean and neat, excellent cable and WiFi; the shower facility was very stuffy with poor ventaliation but clean. We would stay again when in town to visit family. We camped at Apache Palms RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Canyon / Williams KOA, Williams, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Our very first visit to the Grand Canyon and could not get into the National Park, so we found this rv park down the road in Williams. Beautiful town up in the mountains. The only downside was the Cable and WiFi were very fuzzy/spotty or just did not work at times. It was clean and neat and beautiful scenery. We camped at Grand Canyon / Williams KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Main Street Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This was our 2nd experience with a casino RV and read all the reviews and was prepared for an "ok" spot. It was a pleasant surprise. It's a parking lot next to the freeway, however, it had a concrete wall surrounding it, clean and security patrols. The restroom and shower were a bit worn but clean and next. We walked across to the casino and up and down the Las Vegas Strip. No cable or WiFi but we had a TV antenna and got all local channels. A great bargain in Vegas! We camped at Main Street Casino in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Getting through on the phone to make a reservation was a challenge, but once I got connected to an operator who knew the property, was smooth sailing.

San Diego RV Resort, La Mesa, California

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in San Diego area for 4 days and needed a spot to use to get to the attractions. This is right off I-8 and very busy, crowded facility, we moved in Sunday before Labor Day, all back in spots and very tight fit. While clean and neat, there appeared to be many permanent residents. Cable and WiFi worked great once we had the converter boxes. We were pleasantly suprized at how quiet with all the crowd in the facility. We camped at San Diego RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a hidden gem in Tuscon smack dab in an industrial park and a challenge to find. We had to stop at Campers World and get directions. Beautiful property, but all concrete, so I would be concerned how hot it would be in the summer. Pad sites with tables and palm trees, multiple facilities all over the park. We just stayed for the night traveling to California but might be a great winter getaway. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Southern Star RV Park, Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We were heading home from California to Texas and needed a place to stop with our travel trailer. We arrived late and had to call the after-hour number, but still got an end pull-thru site. This park appears to have permanent residents but it was neat and clean. Some spots were under repair. The restroom and shower were clean but no hot water and the cable and internet were fuzzy. Just fine for an overnight stop.

Caroline and Joe. We camped at Southern Star RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Van Horn RV Park (formerly Van Horn KOA), Van Horn, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We were driving to California with our 34 ft Travel Trailer, this was easy on/off I-20 to stay for the night. Clean and neat gravel pull in site, pets welcome and friendly staff;only downside was cable had some fuzzy channels and internet was spotty. We would stay there again.
