Butte KOA, Butte, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in Butte for 3 nights. The office staff was very friendly...we were happy that they let us choose a space that was comfortable for us. The camp host guided us to our space. The spaces are fairly close but not terrible...we chose an end spot for that reason, even though it was right on a mildly busy road...not so much that the noise bothered us, though. We had a nice view of the Angel of Butte and of the historic town on the hill. It was very handy that there is some great fried chicken sold in the little take out place by the office. The cg looks like it is being upgraded. Overall, we had a good time in the awesome little town of Butte and would definitely stay at this cg again! We camped at Butte KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Loved Butte. SO much to do, could have stayed longer.

Took the Chamber of Commerce trolley tour, super convenient, next door to park. Worthwhile.

We went to the Butte Archives and looked up some family members that were born in Butte in 1895, interesting.

Enjoyed a GREAT meal at the M&M, a combination bar and diner.

The campus of the college is beautiful.

Overall, good little rv park in a great little town...enjoy!

McCall RV Resort, McCall, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This park is one of our favorites. It was roomy, quiet and has nice views of the surrounding area. Close enough to town, yet in an out of the way place for that country feeling!

The staff was helpful and friendly.

We traveled to McCall RV Resort in our 5th wheel. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed everything about McCall. Salmon River Brewery had excellent food and beer. Golfed McCall, good course, fun time.

Had great pizza at Growlers. Enjoyed the location of Broken Horn Brewery, it's right outside the gates of the park.

Sandpoint Edgewater Resort RV Park, Sandpoint, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The RV area of this resort is basically a dirt lot...a lot overlooking the city beach parking lot, then the lake. The lake is a beautiful sight, if you are lucky enough to see it from your space. The spaces are way too close together...our neighbor's sewer hookup was about 3 feet outside our door, right next to our picnic table....not that you would want to sit out there because the train tracks are right next to you and there are FORTY trains passing by a day! The noise is deafening, the shaking ground unnerving. Now for the good....if you stay here, you will be within a very short walk to all that this charming town has to offer....restaurants, coffee places, nice shops and fun pubs. The scenery in the area is beautiful! The people are very friendly.

Though I would definitely visit Sandpoint again, I would never stay at this RV dirt lot again. There are no other choices right in town, but I would rather get a good nights sleep in an out of the way place and drive to what I wanted to visit, then to be in the best location that is noisy, cramped and overpriced ($45 a night, not a good value!) We stayed here in our 5th wheel. We camped at Sandpoint Edgewater Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Mick Duff's pub was a good spot right on the Main St. Heard that Spuds is good, too. Had breakfast at the restaurant at the Edgewater resort...it was pleasant on the patio and the food was good, albeit a tad overpriced.

For a beautiful lunch or dinner, make the quick drive to Dover Bay and eat at Dish.....it's gorgeous there!

Did some shopping in the nice little shops up and down the Main Street.
