Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Oasis RV park is a large RV park with 700 spaces. It has a small cafe for breakfast and lunch, 2 pools (one family, one for adults only), a small store, and accommodations for wedding receptions or group functions. The park is clean, quiet and has 24 hour security at the entrance gate. Downtown Las Vegas Blvd is approximtely an $8.00 to $15.00 UBER ride depending what UBER service you select. All sites are concrete level pads. No trees or shade at rv sites. Site spacing is very close and access roads are wide enough for large rigs. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Downtown Las Vegas, AKA "The Strip" is less than a 20 minute UBER ride. RV service such as washing, waxing, roof condition or repairs is readily available at the park. Cafe breakfast was inexpensive and good.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at American RV during the Annual International Balloon Festival. It is during this event that local RV parks increase their nightly fees due to the high demand for space. The park was full during our entire stay. The park is very clean, quiet, and easily accessible to highway 40. The park provided morning continental breakfast. Check in was very efficient without having to get out of your vehicle. The cable TV and WIFI was not reliable due to intermittent and unreliable coverage . RV pads are concrete slabs and very level. Interior roads are wide and paved. Bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities are very clean. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Albuquerque is home to the annual international Balloon Festival which is a spectacular visual event. Old town Albuquerque is home to many American Indian and Mexican art shops and Galleries. The Sandia Tram provides a spectacular view of Albuquerque. An hours drive from Albuquerque takes you to Santa Fe, the Capital of New Mexico, and where an abundance of history, cultural shopping is at your finger tips. The oldest church in the United States is located in Santa Fe.

Pirate Cove RV Resort & Marina, Needles, California

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Pirate Cove RV park is located on the shores of the Colorado River. A highly popular RV park for water and off road activities. RV sites are partially developed and are located on multiple sandy peninsulas. One must exercise caution when parking their RV not to become stuck in the soft sand. Some sites have warning signs regarding soft sand, others do not. Sites are typically partially developed and are not level. Each site is made of sand and dirt and it can become quite dusty. No cable TV, and WIFI is less than desirable. Sites are remotely located from RV park services. Not a desirable site for overnight accommodations. If you are an avid water sports or off road enthusiast, this RV park is for you. Access road to RV sites are poorly maintained and full of pot holes. Attendant at the check in site warned us of many pot holes and loose sand. We camped at Pirate Cove RV Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, Pismo Beach, California

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $77.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first visit to Pismo Coast Village RV Park. It is a very large, high demand park (approximately 400 sites). All sites are back in only. For years the park has sold site shares thus providing share holders with first priority for site spaces. It is extremely difficult to obtain a reservation during peak season. At times their site waiting list can contain 1000 site requests. If planning a trip, your reservation should be made well in advance. All sites are sand and gravel with a small strip of grass behind each site, level, and have fire pits and picnic tables. The park has a heated pool, a very aged 9 hole minature golf area, store, restaurant, bike rentals, children play structures and beach access from the park with a short walk. Adjacent to the park is a lagoon and populated with lots of waterfowl for viewing. Downtown Pismo beach is walkable from the park and has many good restaurants. The park is very clean, with gated entry. RV sites are very close to one another and we found the clients to be kind and respectful. Staff was eager to help. My only negative is the difficulty to obtain reservations due to high demand. We camped at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Downtown Pismo Beach, a short distance from the park, has many good restaurants, shops, and access to more beaches. Sand dunes nearby are quite popular with off road vechicles and access is controlled by state park rangers with fee. The RV park is quite lovely and having access to the beach makes it very popular with a high concentration of children. If you can obtain a reservation, Although park fees are high, I highly recommend this park.

Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino), Verdi, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night at this park in our 38 foot fifth wheel. Park is easily accessable from highway 80. RV sites are paved and easily accommodated our 5th wheel and tow vehicle. Site was level and did not require any leveling action. Adjacent to the RV park is small Casino, gas station, and restaurant. Typical casino food preference. The park sits adjacent to the sloping sierra's and spent several hours hiking into this beautiful area. You can quickly access Reno, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe from this RV park. Park is quiet. We did not access their WIFI service. A good value, clean, quiet and scenic RV park. Highly recommend an overnight stay or even longer. We camped at Gold Ranch Casino & RV Resort (formerly Terrible's Gold Ranch Casino) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy access to Reno, Casinos, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe. If you register at the casino you receive food discounts in their restaurant. Food is typical cafe type menu. We generally stay at the Truckee RV park but they are expensive and usually full. This park allows you access to many sight seeing locations and at a reasonable value. We will stay here again.

Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The park is divided into three sections. One section is newly constructed area with paved roads, swimming pool, gravel pads and all sites are back in. The other two areas appear tired looking but very satisfactory. There appears to be many long term residents. In lieu of the fact the rv facility could use some upgrade improvements, the facility is clean with friendly office staff. Pads are gravel and reasonably level. Spaces are quite close together. WIFI source was very good.I had to back out my 38 foot 5th wheel due to inadequate space to pull forward due to parked cars. The park is approximately 45 minutes from the Napa wine country making daily excursions convenient. The park was quiet and clean. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Napa wine country on hiway 29 is approximately 45 to 60 mintes away making daily excursions convenient. Within 10 to 15 minutes from the rv park are the Vacaville outlet malls with many storers to shop in. Camping World is approximately 10 minues away with full service capability.

Durango RV Resort, Red Bluff, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean, spacious and comfortable RV park. Each site is a paved level site with grass on both sides of your rig. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff will guide you to your site. The park has very nice facilities for swimming, laundry, and a pet washing station. Several sites are next to the Sacramento river offering a water front view. The park is relatively new so the trees are young and not yet large enough to offer much shade. The park is adjacent to highway 5 making freeway access quite easy. Access to the park is gated and closed at night except for nightly residents with a pass code. This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed in due to it's staff, cleanliness, amenities, and spacious sites for large rigs. Satellite reception is great if you choose not to use site cable hook up. We had no WiFi issues. If you travel here during mid summer be prepared for very warm temperatures. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

McCall RV Resort, McCall, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a quiet, beautiful, well maintained RV park that is located within walking distance of the Payette river. The park has a resident group of deer and red fox that greet you upon arrival. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. The indoor pool and steam room is heaven. The lodge is spacious and kept cozy with a wood burning fireplace. We consider this park in the top 5 of all RV parks we have been too. Laundry faciilites are top notch. There is a small airport nearby and occasionally you will hear small aircraft departing but it's very tolerable. The area is beautiful and well worth a visit. We camped at McCall RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

McCall is quite small with limited services but Payette lake is beautiful. Sour dough pancakes at the pancake house are simply the best and Stax is the best sandwich shop in town. Day trips to the Salmon River, Payette River, and snake river are awesome, especially the Hells Canyon Jet boat trip with Kilgore Adventures.
