Kodachrome Basin State Park, Cannonville, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful state park with beautiful surroundings and is one of the nicest sites we've stayed in recently. Very peaceful. There is no cellular service or TV service in the park. The park rangers are very nice and helpful and pointed me to a place to get a tire repaired. Boy Scouts provide firewood for $5.00. We camped at Kodachrome Basin State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The park, itself, has several great hikes. Bryce Canyon is approximately 20 miles away. Petrified forest state park is about 20 miles away.

Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed near the end of the season. Busy the day we arrived, but the park was clearing over the 6 days. The general store was running out of food and was not restocking.

The sites are very close together and just adequate. Ours was very tight (36' and 3500 tow vehicle.). We had to jockey the truck between trees and RV to get it out of the road each time we returned to our site. As you'd expect in a National park, no internet, no cell service, no cable. Hike to the restaurant for connectivity.

Restrooms were warm and clean.

The Tetons are my new favorite national park. The fall color was gorgeous. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

The rangers held a 'Constellation Night' after dark at the beach on Coulter Bay. Well worth the time.

Battlement Mesa RV Park, Battlement Mesa, Colorado

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We actually lived in Battlement Mesa for several years and this was the first time we went into the RV Park. The ladies in the office are helpful and friendly. The park was about 10% used and many of the sites are closed. Few amenities. The park could use some freshening up and repair. Few trees and not much grass. We camped at Battlement Mesa RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dona Luz is a small Mexican food restaurant in the same lot as the nearest Kum and Go. Excellent, freshly made, authentic.

Fort Bridger RV Camp, Fort Bridger, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Site was clean. Hosts were not in the office when we stopped in, but were available within a few minutes. Sites had plenty of space, hook-ups were decent, there were a few basic cable channels. We camped at Fort Bridger RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground itself isn't much to look at, but it is right along side Ft. Bridger historic park, which is well worth a visit. We went after hours and found that we could deposit our fee at the gate and we wandered the park pretty much by ourselves.

The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort, Dubois, Wyoming

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Site seems to be very new. We've stayed in 5 sites in the past 3 weeks and the amenities are the best of where we've stayed. Very clean restrooms and shower rooms. Site was fairly empty as we were pretty late in the season. Sites are gravel, level, and we had ample space. Beautiful surroundings, Cottonwoods were in fine fall color. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. 18 basic cable channels. Wifi was very good early in the day, slower later in the day when others were probably watching Netflix. We'll stay here again. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
