Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice on our trip coming and going from our destination. It was clean, the sites are well defined, and everything is well kept. The laundry on site was clean and reasonable, although one machine didn't spin out well, they offered to pay to rewash, which I opted not to do. They served free waffles and coffee in the morning. We enjoyed the putt putt golf. During our first stay we woke at around 1 AM, someone was blasting music! I think it might have been accidental. Our second visit was perfect, fellow campers being respectful of each other. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA, Doswell, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here both on our way to NY and on our way home. The first site had no sewer but the dump station was right there and not a problem. Fellow campers where very respectful and everyone quieted down after 11:00 PM. Although many families had children, we are seniors, we enjoyed the experience. Our second site was in a full hookup site. Everything looks new and well kept. The site was level and had was easy to find, although there wasn't a lot of room for our tow vehicle. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Richmond North / Kings Dominion KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Timberland Lake Campground, Jackson, New Jersey

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The road going in was extremely narrow and unpaved. I don't know how two rigs of any large size could even pass each other at the same time. The woman at the office handed us a map that was useless. The sites are poorly marked and not defined, if it wasn't for a resident who noticed our distress, we would have never found it. They had golf carts there, and with such poorly defined sites someone should have escorted us. It was not level and had deep ruts all over. Although pet friendly, you aren't allowed to walk your pet and must keep them on your site. There was no lighting at all. Outside our site was the perfect example of "pitch black": You couldn't see your hand in front of your face, I'm not exaggerating. It rained and a stream was running down our site. I noticed that many people seemed to have units that were parked there and might come up for weekends, etc. The sites along the water where very picturesque, although the docks looked like they might cave in. I wouldn't visit this campground again. We camped at Timberland Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pellicer Creek Campground, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We found this park to be rustic, quiet and safe. It is conveniently located right off US 1 and our pull through location with full hookups, made it great for us, as first time campers. I would have liked a little more space between sights or some kind of divider by either bushes or lattice but loved the cement patio and nice picnic table with benches. It was Immaculately clean and those people who are either snow birds or full time residents keep their areas neat and orderly. Everyone was friendly and we definitely would visit this park again. I hope they can improve the wifi. The cable box they provided worked well and had a lot of channels. It was very pet friendly with stations providing bags and receptacles to deposit waste. My dog loved it there and enjoyed walks about the perimeter of park. They had a swing seat and picnic table down by the creek, which was a very picturesque spot, from which you could launch a canoe or clean fish. I also noticed some horse shoe and toss games for ones enjoyment. Loved the trees, that helped provide shade. They also provided a fire pit which we didn't have occasion to use, but in cool weather would be great. We camped at Pellicer Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.
