Scotia Pine Campground, Brookfield, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with most everything that has been stated. We stayed there 6 nights. It was our base for touring Halifax and Peggy's Cove. It worked out well for that. We arrived on a Friday night, and it turned out to be the worst camping night of our entire 14 years of camping. BEWARE that quiet hours don't start until MIDNIGHT. Then "quiet conversation over the campfire is encouraged." We had neighbors 3 sites away that were still going strong at 2:30 AM. The owner was VERY responsive to our 12:30 AM email complaint. The next night was better, but not as it should be. These campers played outdoor music during most of the day that reached well beyond their site. The campground is a weekend destination I think for locals. When the weekend ended, it was SWEET and quiet. Sites are very close. A picnic table and a pine tree trunk separate the sites. It's nice the seasonal campers are separate from the transients. We'd stay again if it suited our plans. We camped at Scotia Pine Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Seabreeze B&B and RV Park, Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Agree with most previous posts. I wouldn't downgrade due to not being allowed in the B&B. We used this as our base for touring Gros Morne National Park. It worked well. The sites are extremely close. Wifi does not reach the sites. Sitting outside the house is necessary. The bay shoreline is across the street and the rocks. The shoreline is rocky. The B&B stayed full during our 5 night stay. The campground had turnover, but remained full most of those nights. We camped at Seabreeze B&B and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Caribou/Munroes Island Provincial Park, Caribou, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in loop A site 20. All sites on the inside of loop are in full sun. Sites 1, 2, 16, and 24 have shade. Site 16 is the premier site. Some sites have views of the strait. The other sites have either morning or afternoon shade from the benefit of your unit. 30 amp only. Potable water at entrance and at spigots in the loop. The bathroom and shower is ONE single room for the entire loop. There is a pit toilet as well. The unserviced area has a facility with 3 toilets and 2 showers for each male and female. WiFi at the admin building on the outside. Firewood $5 for a bundle of 15 or so pieces. Very quiet. Sobey"s grocery nearby. Spacious sites. We camped at Caribou/Munroes Island Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Elm River RV Park, Glenholme, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with most previous posts. We found it to be the most pleasant Canadian campground of the seven we've been in so far on this trip. Pull thru site plenty long enough and relatively level. Good space between sites. 50 amp power good. Water pressure a little low. Appreciate how the seasonal campers are in a section of their own. The showers were amazing and free. Didn't use them but loved the style with a private changing area outside of the shower with plenty of hooks. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Picked up and delivered our propane tank to site. We had a flat and it they fixed it on site. We would return again. We camped at Elm River RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cabot Beach Provincial Park, Malpeque, Prince Edward Island

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were in site B which has a phenomenal view of the gulf. All sites are grass and ours had numerous low spots. We were able to level without too much trouble. The sites are not well defined. Sites A B C and D have gulf views. Utilities are on shared posts. This creates a challenge when parking to insure the hookups are on the correct side. Some used these sites as pull thrus but the entry path to do so is not graveled or marked. There are tent sites scattered behind these sites making it a challenge. Power was good. WiFi was excellent and free for one device. Additional devices are $2 per day. Bathhouse was clean and showers were free. The shower I used had no changing area and had one real hook. The other "hooks" were screws. The grass was shin high. The field was cut on day two of our stay. Our site was never trimmed. We found it to be a great base for touring the central region of the island. We were here during the days leading up to the Cavendish Music Featival. The park was filling by the weekend. Dump station is not a paved area and very unlevel. To avoid blocking the road it requires pulling into the grass. Beautiful beach area with clean sand. Easy drive from Confederation Bridge. Be prepared for the WIND!! We pulled in our slides for fear of damage to the slide covers. We would return again. We camped at Cabot Beach Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camping Parasol, Shediac, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Total agreement with previous posts regarding friendliness and service from owner. Email exchanges were always prompt and courteous. The campground is crowded with zero open space. There are many seasonal residents and most have storage sheds and decks. It has a junky appearance. Our pull thru site was not long enough for tow vehicle. Escorted to site and with good reason. We found one road was a dead end. Had to park truck between the sites that closed up what precious little space we had. Bathrooms and laundry are new and very nice. $ showers. Convenient to Hwy 15 and services. It was a convenient stop as we came from Gaspé Peninsula and on our way to PEI. WIFI was negligible. We'd stay again if convenient to our travel. We camped at Camping Parasol in a Travel Trailer.

Ledgeview RV Park, Lake George, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

I won't repeat what's already been said. However, we found the Wifi to work very well. It did slow down with increased activity. We consider it to be the best we've ever stayed in. We were able to use our satellite after putting it on the picnic table. The new section has more openness. We stayed 6 nights. The sites are spacious. Don't be discouraged by the online campground map. It looks crowded but it's not. The landscaping is beautiful around the public areas and the seasonal residents. Highly recommend!! We camped at Ledgeview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

General Butler State Resort Park, Carrollton, Kentucky

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Camp site loops are not adequately marked with warnings for big rigs. We were in a 35' and were almost stuck navigating a loop. Satellite reception was good at site 65. Dump station was convenient. We didn't use the WiFi so can't comment. We camped at General Butler State Resort Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rip Van Winkle Campground, Saugerties, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Lovely wooded surroundings. Big wide sites. WiFi was flawless. Inner roads are a bit rough but easily navigated. Could not use our satellite. Cable channels didn't include some of our favorites - Hallmark, Ion. Many seasonal campers but very few present. Weekend was busier with tents. Secured access. Laundry was $5 a load (wash and dry). We camped at Rip Van Winkle Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Delaware River Family Campground, Columbia, New Jersey

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Location! Location! Location! We chose this campground because of its close proximity to the Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area. It did prove to be good for that. The campground is quiet despite how many units are in it. MANY seasonals. There is a boat ramp to the river. Diesel is available nearby. Easy access from I-80. Friendly check-in. Showers are coin operated but didn't use them. WIFI is available at the pavilion. Our site was down the hill and wifi reception was occasionally available. Grass sites. 30 amp only. Honey wagon available on Monday and Friday. Leveling required more blocks than we have ever used. Overall, we were fine. Served the purpose. However, WIFI is important to us. The rate is too high for the services available. We camped at Delaware River Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground, West Bend, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The owner, could not have been nicer. Allowed us to extend our stay beyond his seasonal closing date. He assisted with the back in. At our particular site, our tow vehicle did not park on the campsite. He spoke to us and wished us well upon our departure. We don't mind rules. In fact, we wish more campgrounds enforced the rules they have. Rules make for a pleasant camping experience for everyone. Utilities and wifi worked great! We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
