Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA, Streetsboro, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for three days to visit family in Cleveland. Overall, this was a beautiful campground. Our site was long with room for our big rig and our car. However, the site was very unlevel. In other CGs, with a long site, there was usually a more level section of the site. When we asked the escort if there was a better section he said there wasn't. He suggested the very front of the site, but then our slide hit tree branches. Everyone in our row of sites had the same problems with leveling. Because of the unlevel sites, we would not return. We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Motorhome.

Toledo East / Stony Ridge KOA, Perrysburg, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay traveling east. It wasn't too far from the highway but the exit we were supposed to take was closed for construction. The section of the campground we were in was among trees but there was no problem navigating to our site. The site was long and level. The hook ups were further from our motorhome than most campgrounds and we noticed a similar setup at the sites near us. We camped at Toledo East / Stony Ridge KOA in a Motorhome.

South Bend / Elkhart North KOA, Granger, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2019 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Very attractive campground with tall beautiful trees. Driving through the campground, as well as situating on our site required care because of the trees, but they weren't a serious problem for us. (The people next to us did need to unhook to maneuver around trees when leaving.) Our site was long and level. The price seemed a little high even without adding the extra for our family staying overnight with us a couple of nights. We camped at South Bend / Elkhart North KOA in a Motorhome.

Elkhart Co. / Middlebury KOA, Middlebury, Indiana

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for a day & a half (2 night reservation) before going to Nappanee for service. The interior roads were narrow but manageable. The site across from us had what looked like a homemade RV and appeared to be permanent. They had 2 picnic tables set up for their use and a rabbit hutch. They kind of oozed over into other areas beyond their site but staff didn't seem to care. Being the entire view out our front window was a detraction. The sites in our section were slightly terraced, with some slope but were long & the main section was level. The price seemed high for what it was and we would probably not return. We camped at Elkhart Co. / Middlebury KOA in a Motorhome.

Lebanon / Cincinnati NE KOA, Lebanon, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second overnight stay at this campground. The big rig sites are long and level and in the back section. The interior roads are good. The only issue we had was not wanting to go up and around to check in at the office. It had seemed too curved and tight our last visit and our motorhome is longer now. We parked in back of the office to check in, which blocked the people in front of us being guided to their site. In addition, the driveway in is only one lane. As we were leaving, a service truck was coming in and had to pull over onto the grass. Not sure what happens if another big rig is coming in. Other than those two issues, it was an attractive campground and we would stay again. We camped at Lebanon / Cincinnati NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA, Corbin, Kentucky

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed overnight. The interior roads curved around and it was a little confusing where to go when leaving. The last corner before heading out the driveway was a little sharp for a big rig, but not a problem if careful. Our site was very shaded and felt quiet and peaceful. We camped at Corbin / Laurel Lake KOA in a Motorhome.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay. The road to the campground and the roads within the campground were curvy. The campground had some rocks for ornamentation that made it necessary to pay particular attention when driving through. Oddly, the rules said "no laundry allowed" because of their septic system but they had a laundry room. Not sure why an RV washer would be worse? Overall, the campground was quiet and peaceful in a wooded setting. We would stay again. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Motorhome.

Forsyth KOA, Forsyth, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay. It was an easy on & off the highway. The interior roads seemed narrow and somewhat rough but weren't a problem. Our site was long and a slight hill going up but the main section was level. We were in a nice shaded section near the lake. Shortly after arrival, the camp host delivered chocolate chip cookies. We camped at Forsyth KOA in a Motorhome.

Jennings KOA (formerly Jennings Outdoor Resort Trav-L-Park), Jennings, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2019 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay heading north. It was easy on & off the highway. The overnight sites were toward the front of the campground. They were long and level but very narrow. We had to move the picnic table to get our slides out. (The people in the site next to us had to do the same.) The price was $20/night higher than before it became a KOA. I don't feel it was worth that much more for an overnight stay. Not sure if we would stay again. We camped at Jennings KOA (formerly Jennings Outdoor Resort Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

Santee / Santee Lakes KOA (formerly Santee Lakes Campground), Summerton, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

As a new KOA, this campground needs more updating. However, it has great potential. The sites are under shade trees. It is along a lake with a dock. There is attractive outdoor furniture. It is an easy on-off the highway in a beautiful setting. We stayed heading north (April) and again heading south (May.) The hookups were well placed and everything worked the way it was supposed to. Unfortunately for us, there is only one site long enough for us to stay hooked for an overnight stay. In April our site was long enough but in May we were a bit into the road both in the front and back. There were may short sites that would have been perfect for tent camping. If they are able to make some longer sites we would gladly be back. Otherwise, we will need a different option in the future. We camped at Santee / Santee Lakes KOA (formerly Santee Lakes Campground) in a Motorhome.

Enfield / Rocky Mount KOA, Enfield, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Although there are full hookups available, when I made the reservation there weren't any long enough for our motorhome and towed car. We opted for a water-electric site because this campground is a good stopover when traveling north and south on 95. We stayed in April heading north and again in May heading south. The campground is easy on-off the highway. The water-electric are in the front of the campground and we were able to get a long and level site. We camped at Enfield / Rocky Mount KOA in a Motorhome.

Fredericksburg / Washington DC South KOA, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight heading north (April) and again heading south (May). This is a very nice campground with shaded sites and very peaceful. Both our sites were relatively level but we saw some that seemed at an incline. The hookups were well placed. The drawback, especially for an overnight stay, is how far it is from the highway. The roads are somewhat confusing and our GPS never did "find" it. Fortunately, coming from the south, the signs kept us going in the right direction. By the time we were heading south, we knew where we were going. Because of the distance from the highway, I looked for another option, but this still seemed like the best in the area. We camped at Fredericksburg / Washington DC South KOA in a Motorhome.

Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA, Kingsland, Georgia

Date of Stay: May, 2019 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed twice for overnight, once (April) heading north & once (May) heading south. It is easy on/off the highway. The sites are long and level. The hookups are conveniently located. We were there on Easter and saw an Easter egg hunt. There are other activities and amenities, including breakfast. The campground is nicely shaded. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Philadelphia / West Chester KOA, Coatesville, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

The KOA directory advises to call for directions for big rigs - highlighted bold. I called and the directions I was given took us over a bridge on which we were too long to make the corner. Unfortunately, this issue impacted my feelings about the campground. We were there for 2 weeks and spent a significant amount of time looking for the best way out. The campground itself was on a hill and the roads going in were steep but manageable. But the best routes through the campground were not clear. Our site was long and level. There was shade on our site. This was one of the more peaceful campgrounds in our travels. Note: the "bad" mark for service was because of getting the worst directions possible for getting to the campground. We did not interact with any staff after that. Big rigs who do not know the area need to be very careful. Avoid the bridge that is approx. 1/2 mile west of the campground. We camped at Philadelphia / West Chester KOA in a Motorhome.

Grand Oaks Resort & Museum, Lady Lake, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

This was our third extended stay. Our favorite things about this CG are the view and the wide sites. There are two entrances to the resort, one for everything but RVs and on the other side is the RV entrance. On arrival, there is a sign with a phone number for check-in. Having stayed before, and knowing what site we reserved, we went directly to our site. Later, someone delivered an information packet. Other than that, guests seem to be on their own. The last two times we were there, all but one of the lounge chairs by the pool had wasp nests underneath. The first time, we told someone thinking they would get rid of them. The second time they were still there. Since the first time we were there, quite a few new camp sites have been added. The pull-in sites in front now block the view of the pull-thru sites. The campground used to feel more part of the shows taking place, but not as much now. Campground guests are still invited to the viewing areas however. We camped at Grand Oaks Resort & Museum in a Motorhome.
