Lubbock RV Park, Lubbock, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Another case of older reviews pulling the rating down. This is my first time to stay here. So I guess it is possible that recent upgrades make this park better than the 7.4 rating it gets. This park is almost perfect. Utilities are modern and first rate. Interior roads are smooth and wide. Restrooms are beautiful. Service is above and beyond. Sites are easy to navigate and spacious. Many reviews mention "full timers". My view is that these were the best kept sites in the park. No cable but lots of OTA channels. There is some noise from the airport and highway, but not excessive. We camped at Lubbock RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

An OK park but nothing special. Sites are level but surface is all dirt, dust and gravel. Utilities are good. No cable, wifi is almost unusable. Showers were clean but very small. My shower lost all hot water after about 3 min. Rate paid was during Balloon Fiesta. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park, Springdale, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2019 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

This park is close to perfect. It has great views of the surrounding red cliffs. the virgin River runs along the boundary of the park and is very accessible. Interior roads are smooth asphalt. Park surface is gravel and smooth and level. It does produce some dust. Sites are at different angles ie. no "cookie cutter" look. Lots of trees. Good and accessible utilities. Great fire rings. Free city shuttle at park entrance that takes you to the free NP shuttle. Springdale has considerable shopping and restaurant choices that you can walk to or use the free shuttle to increase your choices. There is not much parking at check in and the turn in is easy to miss. The tokens that you are given for the showers give adequate time to take a good hot shower. At first I couldn't figure out why the park had a low 6.9 rating (at the time of this review). Further inspection showed the worst reviews were quite dated, some 10 yrs old. It's a shame that this website doesn't have a way to weight more current reviews whether they are good or bad. We camped at Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Snake River RV Resort, Homedale, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful views of the Snake River. Pretty shaded park. However I resent a park that says they have wifi when they don't. Stayed there for 3 days and was never able to access the internet. We camped at Snake River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park, Redmond, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean. Hook ups are convenient. But this is basically a concrete parking lot. Views are ok. But what really made me angry was that there was zero wifi even though they advertise as having it. There is even a sign on the door that says they do not have wifi. I asked the clerk about it and she said " The county commission had not approved the money to repair and upgrade the wifi and did not expect it to be fixed for at least a year. We camped at Deschutes County Fair & Expo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Circle L Mobile Home Community, Layton, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2019 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is mostly a mobile home park, but don't let that turn you off. It is very organized and safe. The mobile homes are well kept and the "permanent" rv's are also tidy. In walking thru the park I think their is only 1 "overnight site and we are in it. It is an easy back in with shade. Long enough that I didn't have to unhook. We came in on Labor Day and office was not open, but instructions were left. Site easy to find. There is a nearby train track. We could hear the train but it never blows it's whistle. We camped at Circle L Mobile Home Community in a Fifth Wheel.

Bootheel RV Park and Event Center (formerly Hayti-Portageville RV Park, Portageville, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2019 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

First let me say, don't go by this parks overall rating. Several bad reviews are from 10 years ago. The park changed owners 2 years ago. This park is easily a 8.5 to 9.5 park. Very peaceful despite the fact that I-55 is close. Spacious is the word I would use to describe it. Lots of room between sites. Each shower is its own private room. Gravel and grass for the sites. All pull throughs. The caretakers are gracious hosts. My site was long and level. No need to do any leveling. Absolutely love this park. We camped at Bootheel RV Park and Event Center (formerly Hayti-Portageville RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Jetty Park Campground, Cape Canaveral, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

I love almost everything about this park. Very friendly check in personnel. Easy to navigate. Beautiful views. Very close to a nice beach. Right on cruise ship channel. Free pier for fishing and no license required. Nice little breakfast and lunch cafe on park grounds. My wifi was strong and consistent. Got plenty of OTA channels. We got lucky and had plenty of shade. Restrooms were older but spotless. That said I can understand that it isn't everyone's cup of tea. It is older and has a rustic vibe. Sand roads. Park on Grass. The diversity of units was to me a plus. Units are parked in every different direction which I like. Sites are spacious enough. The worst thing about this park is that it is too popular. We wanted to stay 6 nites but could only get 2 sites for three days each. So we had to move. We camped at Jetty Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Florence Marina State Park, Omaha, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2019 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of long pull thrus, some with trees to close to get awning out, no wifi, good clean restrooms, not many views of lake. The oddest thing was that most fire rings were very close to their neighbors site. No one was in the site next to us but the fire ring was 3' from my trailer. Very easy to manuever in the park. We camped at Florence Marina State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lazy J Campground, Rosman, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small, rustic park. Nothing fancy. It is deep in the woods with a clean clear river on the boundary. I would recommend to anyone that wants a private woodsy feel but only if you have a unit that is under 30 ft, preferably even smaller than that. Very tight turns and sites bordered by large trees. The entrance to the park is over the river on a narrow trestle one lane wooden bridge. It can be quite intimidating. It is a Passport Amer park but only good Mon to Fri. PA rate is 14.50 for fhu pull thru. We camped at Lazy J Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Honcho Rest Campground, Elk Rapids, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

My review is influenced by the fact that we were here over Labor Day. We paid $50 for a site with no water view and no sewer hook up. IMO that is not a good value. The park was also at full capacity. Sites are very close together with no barrier between sites. Interior roads are lined with vehicles making it very difficult to back into most sites (there are no pull thru's). Almost every site requires you to unhook. It's a very active park but it does quiet down after 10 PM. Restrooms were nice. Active playground for kids but no pool. Wood is available in a self serve area for $.25 per piece. I liked that. We camped at Honcho Rest Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hunting Island State Park, Beaufort, South Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The pluses for this park: beautiful, clean beach. Nice facilities. The rest rooms and showers are clean, good park store, very quiet, dark sky at night, good wifi. The minuses: interior roads are a little rough, some sites very difficult to back into, no sewer, no cable (but OTA was pretty good). Neutral: employees. If you get site 121, it can only be accessed by going the wrong way around the park road loop. The office probably will not tell you that. We camped at Hunting Island State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Missoula, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Wifi was so weak it was unusable. When we pulled in there was a big bag of garbage blocking our site. It appeared to have fallen off of someones camper, probably when they were leaving. However it was there at 5 PM and stayed there all night. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Yellowstone's Edge RV Park, Livingston, Montana

Overall Rating:

I don't have much to add to what all other reviewers have said. The views at this park are incredible. This park is a "10" in every aspect. At $58 before discount it is a little pricey, but you are paying for the location, so near to YS. We camped at Yellowstone's Edge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp, Cody, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very new. Trees have been planted but it will be some time before there is any shade. However that is the only thing that keeps this park from being a "10". Services work well, views are great. Love that they have the trout pond. They provide fishing gear and bait for free. Only $5 per fish if you want to keep it and they will clean it. That is cheaper than the grocery store and a lot fresher. We camped at Cody Wyoming Trout Ranch Camp in a Travel Trailer.
